Oh SHIT

was out today at lunch time and my chain came off the rear sprocket.... BANG...... it wrapped itself round the front sprocket and it has broken a bit of my engine casing where the clutch arm goes in to gear box.... there thats little bit of casting rite above the sprocket.... it gone, ive been up and down the road trying to find it but no such luck....
Any ideas on what to do?

Thanks

1) Put your head in your hands.

2) Scream as loud as you can.

I'm not sure which bit it is on the DT, if it's a major bit that would require an engine rebuild it might be easier/cheaper to get a second hand one and keep that one for spares.

b) numpty, that'll teach you to check it more often Laughing

Nope, didn't crash. The chain came off the back sprocket, locked the wheel, but I managed to stay on. While awaiting the RAC, plod pulled up and started sniffing around... As the tossers. *ahem* Nice caring gentlemen do, and gave me a bollocking. I was taking it to the poxy garage! I had to take it all the way home and do it all myself.

Oh well, such is life! Smile

But its OK now, work for a law firm *grin*

Unbelivable! I'm all for enforcing laws, but even I think that is stupid. What did they do you for, riding an unfit vehicle or something? Did you send a complaint? Might not have got you anywhere, but just seems a little off that riding to the garage to sort out the problem they do you for it. Still I guess, its done and dusted, so now just time to get on with it, till the points are removed from your license at least.

I'd like to know what they did you for too?

I wouldn't worry about 3 points on your license, most insurance companies don't really care about only 3 points (unless they were for something serious). Feel free to call me when you come to renew though. Smile

So I now have 6 points, and my insurance has dropped £300 fnar!

Would love to tell to coppa that fined me the saving I have lol
