C'mon people! We must have posters who live in Manchester who can point me in the right direction and gve me the name/number of a reputable place to get my 2002 NSR 125 serviced???

Full service with new front and rear brakes... I'd do it myself except it's my first bike, Im not confident with doing it and I'd probably do something wrong with the brakes and kill myself... Confused

So far I've rung:

Speedwells in Radcliffe - £200
Mr Pigs in Ardwick - £215
Enterprise in Middleton - £150
Scorpion Motosport in Radcliffe - £65???
Peter Gothard in Bury (Warth Ind Estate) - £120
Hunts in Burnage - £90 not including price of brakes.

So I've got a number of quotes but have no idea who to go to... Im swaying towards Hunts but dont know what the standard of work is.... anybody help?

New front and rear brakes? , you mean pads and a strip and rip? , I'd do that for you for £20 , if you provide the parts , the correct tools make this pish easy.. (you provide the fluid + the brake cleaner £6).

My personal recomendation is Peter , since his low(er) costs are due to his poor location , ie lower overheads and that he does everything himself, speedy has an apprentice and a town location for example.

however you pay in different ways ie he'll moan for ages about not wanting to do it and you have to stand there for 20 minutes while he states he isn't happy.

EDIT I've personally used speedy + Peter + ESB + that cheapo place in Radcliffe (AVOID!)

Thanks for the rapid reply Itchy.

I'd be more than happy to take you up on your offer! I think right now, the brakes are the most important thing, the rear brake especially.

I had abit of a funny vibe from the cheap place in Radcliffe to be honest... the guy from Enterprise seems like a nice guy, works from home as well for the extra cash so can get the bike in whenever I want...

Tried contacting Kickstart but they've been closed since New Year due to illness as it says on his answer machine message...
