Want to expand on that? I've been with 3 for coming up to 18 months, and they've been fine.

Yep, to be honest Three were probably the best company I had experience of.

This.

Keep threatening until they won't go any lower. Accept the lowest they'll go and once you've received the phone ring back and say you want to return it 'cus it's too much to pay. Keep doing this until they won't go any lower.

I got a N95 8GB Black (when they were first released) on a 12 month Vodafone contract for £25 a month. That's with unlimited texts, unlimited data and 1,000 minutes (with STC (Stop The Clock)). This also had the £7.50 insure bundle included. Wink

He's a muppet most of the time, but he's right here.

I phoned up and asked for my PAC code, and said I was going to a SIM only deal on O2.

I'm now paying £14.75 a month for unlimited landline, 700 minutes and more texts than I'll ever use (don't text much), still with Vodafone

I'm paying £5 a month with Three, for 300 any-network minutes, 2-300 texts (can't remember), and £5-worth of downloads a month.

Their customer service bods in India aren't great, but otherwise they're ok and cheap.

indeed,

over the past 12 months of being with three, myself and the lady wife have had endless problems, from incorrect charges on the bills to a complete lack of network coverage for several days to disconnecting the phones for non payment of the bills when the bill payments are made by direct debit and when questioned, the staff agree that the bills have been paid in due time but cannot re-connect the phones for 4 days, the indian call centre people are morons who cannot understand plain english and therefore makes life more uncomfortable, i will agree with the fact that they are one of the cheaper providers which is a good thing, but in my eyes the total lack of ability from 3 staff to converse with their customers is crazy.

maybe i have just been unlucky.

I've been with Vodafone for years and had no problems whatsoever.

Having said that, a very good friend of mine works in their sales dept. Had a 6210 Navigator delivered today, free of charge. £12.50 a month, 600 cross network calls, voda to voda free of charge, unlimited texts and a £50 credit to my account every couple of months.

I'm happy enough! Laughing

They offered it to me as a 'loyalty discount' of £10 per year with them as I didn't want a new phone. So normal £25 contract, minus £20 discount. (Was with them two years)

Stay away from Carphone Warehouse Phones 4 u etc.

Carphone Warehouse don't sell Vodafone tariffs anymore as Vodafone recieved too many complaints about them.

Any places that sell multiple Networks are shit as the staff work mostly on commission, this means some of them will do anything to sell you the tarriff including lying to you. If you do insist on going to a place like that read everything you sign thoroughly and make sure than what you are getting is what they said.

On the upside, phones4u sell unlocked phones (at least my last phone from them was) so you can get a much better price for them when you sell them on at the end of the year.

i see.

well orange has served me well. 10% off a month from the previous year but also i was given 5 pounds off the normal rate aswell.

i'm paying 40 quid for a racoon 45 which entitles me to unlimited internet access free of charge and up to 250 meg of data per month. i also have 30 photo messaging bundle for like 4 quid which is great.

i regretted not going for a ps3 with carphone warehouse because i just bought a ps3. however, if you are saying is true, then i am happy.
