High can anyone find the "current market value" of a CBR1000RR on a 08/08 plate with 1,800 miles on the clock!! I have looked at parkers but they only go up to 06/56, been offered one at £7,500 and want to know if this is a good price or not... your help will be appreciated
Thanks

Had a quick peek on Biker trader it shows as trade price between 7K and 7,900

So 7.5k is not bad really. Thumbs Up

I look in most days tbh, but dont always log in... I still have the R1 and was looking at the value of it on my 03 with 8k miles looks to be priced around 3k... which seems cheap Sad

I'm doing ok mate, just trying to sort out my bike instructors course atm..

Oh wow, thats amazing, good luck to you sir.

And not great about the R1 being so cheap. I made the mistake of looking to see how much mine goes for now, £6995 with 100 miles on it. Heartbreaking.

Why is the blade holding better money than the R1, yeah i'm biased but In my opinion the R1 is better than the blade... the blade I have been asking the value for is for mate, he has an 06/06 one atm having ridden it, mine feels much more fun and seems more powerfull as the delivery is different, he has been offered 5k as a trade in for it.

How much did you pay for it new ?

Knock the VAT of that price and if its around what you have been offered give or take 10% then its a good deal.

Most likely it will be a lot lower and now is not a good time to sell a bike, thanks to the media and their hype on the credit crunch....

I am being told that the bike industry is the only market that has not been hit by the "credit crunch" how true I don't know!!

does seem to make sense i suppose as people wanting to save money or cant afford to run a car anymore may be turning to bikes as a cheaper alternative.

I hoping that the crunch will see a marked down turn in the weekend warriors, who when times get hard will be told to off load the 2 wheels sat in the garage of 95% of the year Laughing Wink
