just wanted to say hello... im new to the site, thought i would introduce myself...

I ride a TL1000r... this was my first bike, and i dont think i will ever sell it...

Im based in Market Drayton, and looking for people to go on ride outs with and scratching with... As a girl i find it hard just to roll up to bike meets and say Hi lol

Didnt get much use out of my bike last year (yes i am a fair weather rider lol) wasnt as much fun since moving, and not knowing people local to where i am now...

Get yourself into the Midlands section, there's a few stoke based people about, although how much the ride anymore I don't know.

Ignore or abuse the kids (they're the ones posting show us your tits etc) and you'll be fine.

Hi and welcome, nice to have fellow riders in the midlands closer to me than Stoke. Me and Geoff916 get out your way quite often in the summer, you will be quite welcome to join in the stupidity Very Happy

As Shaun says, mind the kiddies, they function purely on testosterone on here, but are harmless really......

You're very brave for having a TL 1000 as a first bike...

Good luck with the forum, you might need it with all of the pubescent boys hanging around on here waiting for a 'gurl' to post.

Just ignore them and join in.

Although I do take slight issue with you saying you cannot just turn up at a bike meet and say hello. Thats how most of the people on here did it. Admittedly they had spoken on the forum beforehand... but I would imagine being a lady would be to your advantage. Its much less intimidating to have a random girl come up to you and ask questions etc, than a strange man you don't know. And if there are fellow lady bikers around, you've got something in common already so its easier to break the ice.

Still, welcome to the forum. Smile

Marjay, I have to disagree...

Try standing there quietly drinking your coffee, trying NOT to make eye contact as it's always the weird and creepy men that comes over to speak to you, treating you like a complete 'tard, whilst trying to big themselves up at the same time. It's intimidating.

I even have my own little following of strange 'groupies' that seem to turn up everywhere. Laughing
Disclaimer.. If any of my 'groupies' are registered, Sorry for any hurt feelings, but everyone has a limit.

Often the other women are the hardest to approach.

Welcome to BCF Angel... And as said above, please try not to trip over all the little boys.

There's a lot of mentals and weirdos at bike meets.

The great thing about biking is it attracts people from all walks of life, sadly it also attracts some odd folk who will one day end up as part of my set.

You know the types, the ones who do silly stuff like fall over at 10mph and blame diesel or crash at 90mph into a tree and then blame a car driver for it who was travelling at the speed limit minding their own business.

There's a big meet currently being planned for the spring time if you like paintball: https://bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=165523. Thumbs Up

Well on the toy run this young lady came up to myself and Bendy, and she was obviously nervous, but she said hello and we had a good old convo.

If a bloke had done that I'd have been rather scared to be honest! (OMG You're going to end up in Shaun's set aren't you Mr Random bloke).

In actual fact, this bloke with a Divvy 600 did just that, and he was a bit of a Shaun target to be fair... Laughing

Jamie, Hollis, my mate George and myself (on my monkey bike) were on the Reading one. Should have come said hello, or do you not wish to be seen talking to a 'pedboi'. Wink Laughing

Well, first off I was looking for Bendy who I was supposed to meet there. Secondly I was barely on time as it was and trapped in a mass of bikes, and thirdly I don't tend to hang around with people who boast about riding on cloned plates.

Really don't intend to talk about this again, but I never boasted about it. Even in the chat log I said I wasn't proud about it.

If you don't want to talk to me fine.

I don't think she'll be bothering with that Steve, before I moved up here I lived in Stoke, the meets you speak of are some 100 very boring miles ride away.

She lives very close to the Stormy Petrel and The Swancote, Bassets Pole is also not far away, oh and The Bradford Arms.

Not sure who still goes those meets though, apart from Colin1 who is one of those weirdos I mentioned earlier.
