Sorry if I offend you but I can't stand the thieving scum, only people I feel sorry for is the owner of the bike, I've parked my bike up Hanley in exactly the same place as his, it's directly in a very busy part of town covered by CCTV.

'he got himself killed being a thieving scrote'

Think the comments on the link itself sum it up nicely

Shame for the family and friends left behind, and the one that survived prob will never do it again... His mate defo wont.
I notice on these things that the person that gets killed is always a lovely boy / girl. Gotta question their standards havent you really

Nathan. Its a good fix all round. If the cops had caught them it would have been a ticking off and a two hundred quid bill to you for recovering your bike (although you might still get that). Al told they got exactly what they deserved and if someone theived my bike i'd be over the moon if they died riding it

I'm glad no one else was hurt, Im not going to go as far as to say I'm chuffed to bits that some pice of shit died but I'm also not going to defend them.

My problem with these things (as pointed out above) is that they are always lovely lads etc. etc. Im sure they had that opinion because the scumbag wasn't stealing their stuff and running away with it. I dont see how someone who has made a conscious decision to be such an arsehole can be excused their actions because of the surrounding circumstances. A thief, rapist, murderer or whatever is still a criminal regardless of the fact they have a family. The fact they don't have a family is also not an extenuating circumstance that should absolve someone of being a complete pain in the arse.

It is sad that a little girl will not have a father, perhaps though (this probably sounds very heartless but I'm sick of the PC brigade) there maybe an upshot to this. The mother may find a genuine 'lovely lad' (by genuine I mean one that people recognise and respect as nice before they die in an accident) and have a much better shot at life as a result, rather than be raised by some thieving little scrote.

It would be presumptious to suggest that the injured party here probably had a string of offences behind him, but surely at the age of 21 and with a kid in tow you should have sufficiently grown up past the point of nicking peoples bikes and riding round like a twat with a mate on the back.

I'm actually quite pissed off now, I'm going to find a soapbox Rolling Eyes

Ok, i feel sorry for any relatives but am still pissed off that someone nicked a bike and then managed to trash it at a traffic light.

I mean, the traffic light post is what 5 inches in diameter, its not hard to miss.

It's a sad story for the child who no longer has a father, but other than that I have no sympathy just because someone's sister says "he was a good guy."

Obviously not if he felt it acceptable to deprive someone of something they could well have spent days/weeks working hard for and then risk his and his friend's life despite having the responsibility of a child.

What are the chances of someone buying a bike and getting insured on it within an hour of it being stolen Neutral

I think this "Shanice" (probably Dave) is telling porkies! Razz

When you read the quotes on that page it does not make any sense at all.

Other than they were not wearing helmets.

Either way tough.

Thankfully at 16 months the child won't remember just how good 'a' boy daddy was.. Twisted Evil

If you have ever had a bike nicked you worked long and hard to buy you would.

No sympathy. My heart goes out to those stuck in the traffic while the roads were closed. Thumbs Down
