how long does it take to be let in to the regional forums? Is there some sort of post count needed before you can join? requsted to join about a week ago and heard nothing back, cheers.

Which regional forum are you waiting for? You could always PM the 'owner' for that region. I know I often forget to check to look for new applications to the SW forum, so it's not unlikely that who ever it is has just not looked.
