https://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=12073

"As we have previously highlighted, in early 2006 Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root was awarded a $385 million dollar contract by Homeland Security to construct detention and processing facilities in the event of a national emergency."

"Ominously, the bill also states that the camps can be used to “meet other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security,” an open ended mandate which many fear could mean the forced detention of American citizens in the event of widespread rioting after a national emergency or total economic collapse."

Most of these centres are already built, currently used in the Civilian Inmate Labour Program.

The similarities between these and the camps set up by Hitler during Germany's economic crisis in the 30's are quite scary.

Meh and people keep stating that my thoughts that the future will be full of death camps is tin foil hat territory.

Ooh look, Itchy comes out with a ludicrous idea and tries setting it up as a straw man.

We have been through this before. No technical reasons not to have them and haven't been for decades (WW2 B29 bomber had remotely controlled turrets). No finacial reasons either as the technology is so cheap that it is used with water pistols to scare cats off gardens. So the only reason is public opinion and that shows no signs of changing at all.

Sure some people have some dodgy ideas. Doesn't mean that every dodgy idea you hear is true.

All the best

Autoguns aside, I would like to hear your opinion on the original post, Keith.

Hi

I wasn't going to reply to this as I saw nothing much of bother, but having Itchy decide to try and needle me I did.

Reading the original post and the link you could infer nasty things. You could also read it as nothing wrong at all.

Sure if there are riots they will need somewhere to "process" those who have been charged with various offences. As such some kind of basic prison system would be needed. On this I would be more inclined to be concerned not at the building of these places but at what they expect to happen to trigger these issues. After all the link mentions predicted riots and rebellions in America that will dwarf those already witnessed in countries like Iceland and Greece, which is hardly saying much (USA and the UK, amoung others, over the last 25 years have had far worse riots).

As to the "national emergency centers", frankly perfectly believable. Look at the number of emergency centres the UK had dotted around in the cold war to allow the continued running of the government (both national and local), before we closed them down to save money. And putting them on existing (or closed) military bases just makes it easy when you have a contracting military and an excess of military bases with good facilities.

After all, if a bill to provide hospitals to cope with the results of a national emergency was going through would that be treated as a sign of building the facilities for internment?

All the best

Keith

Nothing wrong? Eh? Government was responsible for over 200 million deaths last Century

Militarized police, civilian prison camps, the most draconian legislation ever crafted on the planet that permits secret arrest, secret torture and execution by a three panel military trial is rolled out onto the people of the US and we're crazy for thinking that perhaps this could be a bit dangerous?

(Just type in to Google 'terror laws used for non terror cases')

Unfortunately this is only the latest phase of civilian round-up planning that includes programs started way back with Rex84. The US army admits it kept CILP secret for 11 years.

"The exercise anticipated civil disturbances, major demonstrations and strikes that would affect continuity of government and/or resource mobilization. To fight subversive activities, there was authorization for the military to implement government ordered movements of civilian populations at state and regional levels, the arrest of certain unidentified segments of the population, and the imposition of martial law"

The US is free. As long as they agree with their government, that is.

Thumbs Down

Corrupt murdering governments throughout history have rounded the populace up into camps. Pretty relevant methinks, even as a cursory glance at what could be done.

Even the most jaundiced of views would respect that, surely?

Not really. You post a link about emergency government sites, and leap from that to rounding people up into concentration camps.

That is one hell of a leap to make.

All the best

Have you read the stories of those kept in teh sports stadium during Katrina? That should be a sign of things to come there.

Fair enough. Frankly I don't care. I see nothing to support any idea of prisons, by that name or any other. Hence why I really wasn't going to bother responding to this thread.

Starts off badly by instantly assuming that they are searching for places to imprison people.

Woosh - there goes the point which you missed totally. No reason for them not to be in place now except for that. But they are not. Sure polls can be rigged, but despite decades of opportunity if they wanted they haven't. Probably because the idea is so pointless and ludicrous.

Probably because the conditions that would sway public acceptance to such a thing haven't been created as of yet..im unsure if you have noticed but things are getting worse? you live in a country that very soon will be handing ten year prison sentences for taking pictures of police.(national security Wink Wink Wink Wink).Woooshhh Woop!

The words pointless and ludicrous mean that the government will probably go hell for leather for this project.

SORN is pointless and ludicrous

RFL pointless and ludicrous

NHS datebase pointless and ludicrous

Almost all the milenium projects pointless and ludicrous.

Hi

Or more likely the entire idea is complete bollocks.

Continue to worry about them if you want. Reality is that they are nothing and all you are doing is ignoring real problems.

The change does not make what you suggest an offence. It has to be info that "which is of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism" and it is a defence "to prove that they had a reasonable excuse for their action", which pretty much excludes anybody taking pics of a copper.

All the best

Keith

Oh come on, do better than that. At least come up with some reasoned argument, rather than yet more baseless bollocks.

You are talking about a system to allow the murder of people on the street by remote control and you equate that with SORN?

These kind of ludicrous statements and the presentation of throw away statements as fact is why I wasn't going to even bother replying to this until you decided to aim one of those comments at me.

All the best

Yup , both are a pointless and ludicrious idea , which is why they are loved by the government. The more pointless and disfunctional the more likely it is to be adopted.

I think I mentioned this before but the evolution of weapons over the last 10000 years has been to increase the range and separation from killer to victim.

Hand to hand combat is dangerous as they can get you back rather easily. Cops with billy clubs can get attacked back. And this represents the ultimate in separation of killer to victim, bar maybe the Texas pilots who fly UAVs in Iraq.

It'll start out non lethal first , the arguement will go something like this, CCTV cameras can't prevent or stop crime, maybe we should make them capable of prevention of stopping crime.

Something such as the air taser which ionises air and can fire electic shocks down laser beams, since tazers are now a completely fine 'non lethal' weapon to be used.

Or sonic pain inducers which the US military have made, the joy of both is that they have no moving parts = maintenance free.

When the fan starts chopping up the thicker part of the poo , the infrastructure will already be in place to make them lethal, ie putting a solenoid to operate a trigger of some sort of the mounted weaponry.

Why are you loving it, or do you just want to spread pointless fear and terror, trying to depress people. All your emotive language about concentration camps. Pity you have no evidence.

800 camps at $385m (from 2006). So a poxy ~$400k each. I think not. Not going to build much with that.

And the latest round is for a small number of emergency command centres.

And was he prosecuted? Of course he wasn't as the case would have been laughed out of court. At least pick something with a small bit of credibility to support your wallowing in conspiracies.
