first off hi to you all, these are some pics of my old yamaha fzr400rsp 2tk model, i bought it looking rough and missing many of its special bits, its a 1987 model, and there aren't many of these about, they have an oil cooler fitted as standard, preload adjust front forks, fully adjustable rear suspension, aluminium subframe, single seat hump, aluminium tank cover, close ratio gearbox, different rearsets, oval slide carbs, different cdi, 4 piston calipers as standard (rather than 2 piston calipers on the earlier 1wg model. When i bought it it was missing the original forks, so i tracked some down and fitted 2003 r6 blue spot calipers, the fairing was fully made of fibreglass barring the aluminium tank cover, i resprayed it all and fixed any cracks, as with many fzr's the header pipes wanted welding up so did this and got it mot'd, great first bike, 152kg, 59bhp, great fun in the bends, kept up with my mates on their 600's in the bends no probs, really miss it and wish i hadn't sold it, but needs must, hope you enjoy the pics

it wasn't in standard colurs when i got it, it had a crappy quality sticker kit on it, so i sprayed it white with the intention of getting the correct sticker kit but never got there, i sold it due to crap english summer last year and bought a yz426f road registered crosser instead, god that was fun, fell off it and broke my hand in 3 places but was a wickedly fast bike, i'll get sum pics up of both that and the tzr when i get a min

1990 tzr250 2ma, sorry for poor focus on these, it isn't as tidy as it looks on photos, hand blisters and side fairings are cracked and paint/stickers aren't original on seat panels

That 2MA doesn't look too bad.

You'll really struggle to find one in mint condition as most of them have been ragged about and they don't fetch much money in fully restored condition so no one takes them on as that sort of project.

When you've fitted the DT175 top end to the RX-S, make a thread. I would be very interested to see how it performs.
