Best thing about hornets are they are relativley cheap and you can do lots of things to them and get the look you like! I was advised they are a good starter bike and i picked one up 1999 model with 7K on the clock for 1800! bargain in my eyes, but then Ive put and changed stuff to it, mainly added a Akraprovic Exhaust.

Cheers everyone! I'd been looking at the hornet Freshal posted the link to, and then went and bid for it - its now mine £1800 for a 2001 model with 21k miles...
It arrived today and I couldn't be happier - only annoyed at having to wait until the 16th before I can ride it (needs to be restricted and some heated grips).
Just revving it the car park, it seems to be a LOT more powerful than my 125 - fingers crossed for not killing myself.

Word of warning- that bike says it has a spyball, the previous owner had a spyball alarm fitted to my bike and it left me at the side of the road on the M25 - they are a bit temperamental - always carry a spare set of fuses mini blade 5's and a few normal 10s and 5s for safe measure will least be able to get you home!
and also now you have your hornet you can sex it up a bit if you want:

It looked a bit tacky
I love the look of hornets if standard - But once you start messing with them it starts to look ugly.
If you want to streetfighter it then a Bandit I would say.
Leave the hornet a lot |
