Right so recently I have become interested in how the current market places work, what has brought about this market down turn etc.

Mainly through reading stories on the internet and the bbc iPlayer. All be very interesting, however I found this episode to be quite thought provoking:

Clicky

What are other peoples views?

Problem is though we do not have capitalism in the UK , nor does real capitalism exist in the world , we have a sort of hybrid system of some socialism some capitalism..

A capitalist society would not bail out banks or have a minimum wage either.

Also there is another problem capitalism in ALL its forms total , partial whatever is self consuming , in that capitalism demands constant efficiency increases, like a place I used to audit it got more efficient and increased output 90% of the work force was laid off when new machines that were highly automated were installed. Without people who can afford to buy your things by enlarge your company is doomed.

An interesting point in it was what caused bubbles to form and then a strong period of down turn. Leading up to a bubble burst traders had high levels of Testerone, however when the bubble had burst serotonin was more present in the traders.

So with Testerone they feel they can take more risks and so the bubble increases, the serotonin makes them anxious and take less risks.

The point that interested me at the end was how the markets would/will change like they did in the 1930s (although he didn't say how in the 1930s), make more women involved in trading, and even a brief talk over reviewing the mentality of traders before they could trade.

Well it was something like that.

Labour are inherently socialist, therefore in the UK we have a socialist capitalist system. When the good times roll, everything is dandy. When things turn sour the two ideologies are polarised completely.

If I had my way, i'd abandon most welfare payments almost immediately and hike taxes. But then, I wouldn't be a good PM.
