Hi
To get the tensioner back in place, take the bolt off the tensioner, remove the spring and then push the tensioner ratchet back into position. Then put the tensioner in position, put the spring in place and then put the bolt back in.
Probably best to turn the engine over a few time by hand before running it after doing this.
Check the valve clearances.

I've been having the same problem with my bandit, but i'm 100% sure mine is the cam chain, if its not that then could well be Valve Chatter. good luck in fixing it . ____________________ Chase my Witch up, Catch my Snitch up.
