Sorry i should of said Embarassed Started to streetfighter it. All the fairing off, renthal bars and polished rims and stuff and what im going to do is stick a r6 subframe on for a raised look instead of compromising the handling and i think a wider tyer would go well.

This is a link to the pic of the bike

FZR or Fazer? 2 completely different bikes, you need to measure your swing arm then the one of the desired conversion, if its a few mills too big you could have it skimmed down and then you would have to find some bearing/spacers to make it a perfect fit or have them make up too.

All the looks and no go is just fine, just passed me test. And the misses which has been riding for 10 years pointed out that fzr was not a fazer and punched me and called me stupid which is fair enough lol Cheers for the info will look into that Smile

Either keep it as it is, or sell it and buy something worth 'fightering'

For the simple fact that its frowned upon to fighter a Divvy means i can make it its own if done well. Power is more than enough for me for a while till i get more exsperience so looks are all im ganna work on. And when i get that exsperience i would'nt mind one of them V-MAXs lol

Do you have the fabrication skills to make it look half decent?

from that one photo you've got a reasonably tidy looking bike so far, take no notice of the nay sayers, you're building something you want to build Thumbs Up

now as to whether swapping swingarms will be simple or not "i dunno" but you appear to have a steel frame so if needs be welding new shock/suspension linkage mounts in shouldn't be too difficult ...

the possible problems you may face will be pivot width and pivot spindle diameter, you need both those measurements to determine how difficult it may be ....

the next problem you may face is chain alignment, fitting a wider rim can sometimes require an offset output sprocket, or you may be able to skim the sprocket carrier to help, the problem that can then arise is the chain may not have enough clearance with the frame section behind the gearbox, solvable tho Very Happy ....

all these things need considering when attempting these conversions and all can be solved with thought and effort ...

i've stuffed a GSXR1100h motor in an old Z750ltd frame along with a GSXR750h swingarm which i've converted to twin shock, loads of folks have ridiculed the idea but i don't give a flying fuck, this is a cheapo project being built out of parts i've scrounged and got laying around and i'm building it because i can ....

take your time with your conversion, think about what you're doing carefully (before cutting anything), with enough thought and determination just about anything is possible Thumbs Up

Divvys are surprisingly fun bikes and look 'OK' too, infact i can honestly say i have more fun on the xj600 than i had on the cbr4, zzr4 or gpx4 simply because its got more useable power and the wide bars can really help chuck the thing around.

I think its the fact you can go anywhere within reason, theyre very tame and with a few minor modifcations they are a very nice bike to ride.

Power isn't everything Smile

Although mines the horrible turquoise colour... Must get it painted/powdercoated black at some point.

its a tough one,
their a few considerations to take into account when changing swing arms, 1 the size of the pivot bolt, if they are different then you'll have to change the donor swing arms bearings to suit,
then there is the suspension setup,
then there is the width of the swing arm,
then there is the width of the wheel to allow the chain to pass.

i did a speed triple swing arm and wheel to my zxr, and that was an absolute mission, as the swing arm is far wider the suspension set up is completly different and the axle size is different,

i also put a bandit 6 wheel on a gs500 which was a pain but no where near as hard,

if i were you i would look at just doing a wheel conversion,
you'll probably just have to make up spaces for the wheel and probably have to space out your rear sprocket so the clear the chain.

good luck,
any thing is possible, if you are willing to put in the work Very Happy
