Went with my dad and my brother, my dad had a little reunion with his old bike, I want a bike more than ever now, and my brother has re-warmed to the idea.

Sat on loads of bikes, plenty of (irrational and expensive) ideas, shame everyone's pushing me to get a 125, but probably a good plan.

I've also come to the conclusion that a lot of bikes I didn't like before are much better than I expected, surprised by the F800GS, one of the most comfortable things I've ever sat on, and the Daytona 675, I honestly thought the wheel was about a foot off the ground!

Overall the best day I've had in quite a while, will definitely be going back!

I didnt notice any, but then I walked from my house, and didnt go in the downstairs entrance.

Some nice bikes. Sat on quite a few.

Decided once and for all that I DEFINITELY don't like forward controls a la Harley, DIDN'T like the V-Rod, didnt even bother with the fat-arse fat boys etc, not my sort of thing at all so I just totally ignored that side of the stand Laughing although I was tempted to consider a sportster XL1300 (?I think) or the 883 Iron was quite nice ... I could just about cope with those footpegs, but that I still want a Buell; the XB9 is JUST within my price range ... although I was tempted by a gorgeous Monster (I think that's what it was, it had a very cool white kid-leather feeling seat) on the Ducati stand. Cool

Not considered the KTM "tourer" style before, they were quite nice. I'm usually all over the KTM trailies, although I tried a couple, but the tourer ones appealed more.

And either they didnt have or I didn't somehow see a Triumph Thruxton ... although the Bonneville was more comfortable than I expected, and definitely low enough for me to ride sensibly.

Wondering why Suzuki weren't showing there? There were stands for most of the other major brands but not Suzuki. Possibly I don't follow the trade gossip enough, but I was looking forward to trying a few of most brands, was disappointed to see they didnt have a stand. And yes I did look ALL around the whole place. I even looked on a map thingie, but there was no Suzuki stand.

Said on the website Suzuki would be there but I couldn't find them either, checked again while I was there and the site said they'd got it wrong and they were never going to be there in the first place- bummer.

Wouldn't have minded sitting on an SV, and maybe a Busa for a laugh Very Happy

Turned out to be a bloody expensive do.

One minute I'm walking away from a jacket 'cos couldn't justify the expense..........

......... The next I've just booked 4 tickets for a trip to Moto GP in Brno with Pole Position Travel. Rolling Eyes Very Happy

There was a Busa with custom decals on one of the 'bling' stands people were sitting on. That was on sunday.

I wouldn't have mind sitting on a SV either. Looking at both that and the ER6 for my first bike but was told the 6n looks a bit small for me Sad i'm 6"1.

Found it very 'meh' this year. Not as big as last year. Will probably do the NEC from now on.
