Nope, my examiner was an arsehole, I passed, but with several minors I knew I hadn't made (incorrect use of the gears Confused ). Plus he shouted at me for trying to adjust the volume on my radio.

I can't remember, it was too long ago. I did with my car test, so I probably did with the bike. I remember he was a sound guy.

i could have kissed mine (it might have shocked him tho)

when it came to the "flipper" bit (pictures of road signs) i was buggered if i could remember the national speed limit so erred on the side of caution, he asked me again so i went up by 10mph (60mph), then he said "are you sure it isn't 70mph" ? ...

to which i replied, "if that's what you think it is, it must be"...

he then said " i'm pleased to be able to say you have passed"...

i also was taking my test on an old Yamaha RS100 that had no kickstart so after explaining that i'd have to bumpstart it when he asked me to switch it off he said "ok, forget that"...

this was in the days when the examiner strolled round the block listening to your engine note, mine being a 2stroke i made it properly scream once round the corner out of sight Mr. Green

I said thanks Thumbs Up

Trivia:

the practical test has the emergency stop and the U-turn

before the loop-hole was noticed most places may have you do a U-turn Beore your emergency stop...

if you put your foot down/screw up... test failed...

however, if you then have to do your emergency stop just do a runner!

go round the block and f**k off... back to the test center.... if the examiner looses you durin the test its an automatic cancel (and test fee refund i understand) Wink

may come in handy to some one some day Karma

I have heard of a few guys who did this Clapping

Yep, I was sort of expecting to fail for hesitation as I passed a car that was badly parked with the engine running and a little old lady at the wheel Sad

Before the test, i made a remark to him

"Let's go on this ride out then!" Razz Wink

Shook his hand and he smiled pleasantly - young-ish sort of chap mind. Probably police instructor mind. He had his ZX12R at the test centre too.

I wanted to.

But he was busy pointing out (with a slight smirk) that he had passed me despite following me all the way round on his Pan European, and had spent most of his time admiring the sticker on the back of my top box which said "Only poofters have fairings".

Better than the test before (which I cant remember why I failed - maybe riding over chevrons or something?) but during which I wore a helmet that had a sticker on that says "Hows my riding? Dial 0800 FUCK YOU" (and which I didnt notice til I got back and took it off indoors) Rolling Eyes

I gave mine a hug, and she looked thouroughly pissed off.

I thought I'd failed though, cos turning off at the first corner I flicked the indicator but it didnt catch, and I noticed just before I rolled over the line, so spent the entire test thinking Id failed.

I would seriously doubt it, I couldn't get them to refund a test I couldn't get to because of the Snow.

Besides the moment you are out of sight the examiner will request you pull over, if you don't then it is down to you.

If was thinking about doing that , but the examiner obviously knows how long it takes to go around at the speed limit.

So if he knows at 30MPH it takes 1m to get round and you come back in 30 secs , i guess he could fail you.

Hell yes i shook his hand woulda hugged him but my instructor was watching Surprised

I had john hastings in southport. Hes notorious for failing car drivers on the smallest of things and makes car instructors shake in there boots. He is always has a serious face on. It scares you a little when you see him in your mirror Very Happy. you know your in trouble when your INSTRUCTOR says oh fuck.

When he came out i thought ah well im fucked. But it all went sweet 1 minor.

I did - but I was so sure I'd failed, I'd shake anyone's hand at that point Laughing

I did several practice emergency stops the second I was out of sight, as suggested by my instructor - just to make extra sure I could do it Laughing
