A question -

What does it do for the bike ( I know the theory, but would it be worth it to me (GSX1300R)
Is it worth £300
Does it invalidate the warranty
Is it prettier than .................joke!

You can download maps for your model of bike but I personally would want to get it rolling roaded and have a map exactly for my bike.
It basically evens out the power, I know alot of people who've had them praise the difference it makes.

You can get them 2nd hand for half that price.

Not sure on warranty, I would imagine so.

It probably would void your warranty but they wouldn't know about it, because if you had any bike trouble you would you woud have unplugged it before taking it to a dealer:wink: . If you have cans/fancy airfilters you can get a few more BHP (Not like you need it on a busa!) it varies from bike to bike how effected they are and dependson how good the stock map is. Some bikes are mapped with flat spots to meet emissions laws. Best bet it o read up on it specifically on a Busa forum. Wink

Optimises the fuelling for the bike. As standard the bike's fuel map is compromised by emissions and noise laws. You'll get more power and more fuel from a ank with a PCIII.

Yes it is worth the £280 purchase price, but it's even more worth it if you get a custom map for your bike.

Yes it does invalidate the warrenty, but as said you don't cut the loom to fit so it's easily reversible. Thumbs Up

Have you posted this on UKbusa's polar bear? The local dyno god on there will tell you exactly what to expect from the PC3 and if it will be worth it for you!

I must admit its something Im curious about but I probably wouldnt be forking out the £300 to find out what its like.

they improve airflow, gives you a power gain of 2-6 bhp, crisper throttle response, and a distinct sound, so ive been told!

your looking at 150 notes for a set too,

this biking games getting pricey! Thumbs Up Laughing

Velocity stacks, also called inlet trumpet. The new R6 and the 2008 R1 both had variable intake trumpets.

Just so you know the velocity stacks are always a compromise between high bhp and mid/bottom end. Yes you could gain 6bhp up top, but lose that or maybe even more down low.

If you want a mod for more top end that won't affect the mid range too much, look at changing the cams in your B1 for the C1/C2 (636)model cams. They are the same as the race kit cams for the B1. If you want even more power look at the 05-06 6RR cams and fit some stiffer valve springs. Thumbs Up

It's generally a smarter version of the PCIII. Has the facility for two separate maps.

You can also map for each cylinder in each gear more easily or something, so should make it a little more useful for the drag racers.

I got a pc3 for xmass, my wife bought it on ebay for £160.
I had a k&n air filter and a micron exhaust allready on my b1h and it was spitting flames and backfiring I hoped it would it sort it out it has a bit and it feels a bit smoother but the weather has been shit since I got it so I cant test it properly.
I think it would bennefit from a custom map.
