Hi all,

After looking at Luke's R6 show and tell bit's I really love the changes they done with the rear end compared with mine. I would love to change mine to the new ish style red inc indicators, How easy a job is it? Will it fit ok etc?

Cheers,
Si

Anyone guys?

I really would like to change to the slightly newer rear end.

Is it a straight swap?

Cheers.

if you mean fit the 2 round led lights like mine its a rather simple job really. there are kits you can buy or find the bits yourself. when i was looking for a older r6 i planned to do this mid and found a guide on the r6ownersclub Wink its just the lights/undertray and you have to chop the battery try up a little (plastic) and its meant to be better to fit a smaller/ newer battery off the newer r6 02+ so you can fit the wireing in properly.

thats all i can remember if its right ..

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know where I can get a kit from or the bits I need at all? I have had a look on that forum before and there were some good bits there. I will take a look on there now.

Thanks,

Si

Evening,

I have just packed everything away after re fitting the bike up today.

I have to say I am really pleased with the end result. I have had all the plastics re painted and changed the rear end for a 2002 with the dual Led lights. It looks dead smart.

Pics will be taken in the morning as it's far to dark now!

Cheers for all your help!

Si

Hi mate,

It was a pain in the arse but the result was well worth it. I cut the clips etc in the tray and just moved bits about etc.

Pics coming soon!!
