Any ideas on separating a heated grip from the throttle tube?
I believe its been glued on and I need to keep both of them so no cutting allowed.
At the moment I've got it soaking in water for no apparent reason ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

I removed some today.
I put the throttle tube in my fancy vice with pipe jaws (I didn't care about damaging it too much, but I only got a couple of little marks on it.)
Then lifted up the grip as much as I could and sprayed WD40 up it at each end and.
Then just pulled as hard I could!
Nice toasty hands on my ZX9 now .

Plenty of heat, so maybe a hair dryer is if its got a high enough setting.
Very thin screwdriver under one bit and then get some wd 40 or such sprayed and gently work it round. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
