Hi, i own a 2008 Skygo SG125 (Honda CG125 copy) and it vibrates like mad. Even at low speeds (it only does about 45 to 50mph anyway) it vibrates.

My problem is that i use the bike to go to work on (about 5 miles) and over the weeks my feet have started ache like mad. My right foot is killing me.

Does anyone know a cure for my vibration problems. It doesn't need to be vibration free, but just to calm it down a little bit.

I'm even thinking about selling the bike and buying a Honda CBF125 to get more practice on so that i can take my test.

Hazard a guess here,

It can't be carb sync cus you only have one:

Check:

The engine mounting bolts in that if they are loose they will amplify the vibes.

Also maybe some bar end weights and some foot peg weights to dampen out the vibes.

While you are at it you might want to adjust the valves , I;ve no idea about your engine but its got at least 2 , its a push rod rocker engine so should be easy to adjust.

I've gone over the bike a few times to make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight after the first week when one of the back foot pegs fell off. After that i used thread lock on the nuts and bolts and nothing has fallen off for the last six months.

The bike is the same as when i got it, but adding some weights might be a good idea.

The engine is a CG125 copy, but i've no idea about valves.

Has it got a balancer shaft(most singles do)? If the vibration is that bad I doubt it is a loose engine mounting bolt.

If it is the balancer shaft it's not going to be a quick and easy repair.

I also hav a cg125 clone. What is the engine number/brand name? No balance shaft but it still shouldnt be a a bad vibrator, only at high revs. The trouble with china bikes is the level of fine tuning required, but should be reliable if given some tlc. Id check the plug to see if its running lean. Valves for cg are 0.08mm, i see this figure for alot of china engines but for my engine 0.1mm is recommended, very easy to check usual tdc via sight port and remove the rocker cover to get at simple screw adjust valves. Also possible its a loose clutch bolt.

Pegs are bolted directly to the underside of the engine, guess could pad out with some rubber but id be worried about heat. Anyway this is would just limit a symptom nt fix the problem.

Do a plug chop if you can, lean running can make the engine rougher...

I think my best bet is to take it in to my local garage and ask them to have a look at it. The next bike i buy, i want a test ride on first. Thanks for all your help anyway.

check what ever the footpegs are mounted to because i remember my chinese import pitbike used to have bad vibration through the footpegs, when i checked the footpegs were welded to a bar that was mounted underneath the frame, the bolts that it was mounted with kept on rattling loose, all i did was put a rubber washer on each bolt and some locktite, it never rattled loose again
