Once upon a time one was minding ones own business riding down a steep hill at warp speed.

One then noted one should slow down for a rountabout and applied the front brake. However there was a nasty big fucking bump in the road followed by gravel. Evil or Very Mad

Anyway, front locked as the bike came back down from the bump onto the gravel and I skidded into a well placed curb. Thumbs Up

Bike bounced off the curb and righted itself. Very Happy

The end. I lived happily ever after.

The skid marks were mighty impressive. Smile

The ones on the road were quite good as well.

It might be worth checking your rim (on the wheel) just incase you buckled or cracked it, also check air pressure.

I also did something a tad like that. Bad day at college mid winter... but was quite a warm sunny day with quite good grip. So id warmed up the tyres reasonably well came up to a few roundabout dumped it into the corners quite happily (i say dumped, you know what i mean, cornering in a fun and speedy manner but with control) anyhew came up to a full 360 on a roundabout to get home, back end spontaneously gave out and slid a couple of feet from under me, with the result i saw concrete rushing up and the bike started turning... well i reacted naturally (as you do... or at least i do) and brought the bint back up. Was most impressed by that, only to find cos of the slide i was now pointing straight at the concrete barrier in the center of the big dually roundabout's. I countersteered like mad but still connected with it at about 35-40 odd and by some querk of physics got kinda stuck on there and had to punch off with my right forearm. Kept that one up Very Happy

didnt even stop actually, straightened the bent bar end as i rode off i believe Wink

And al i got was another scratch to its arse, a demolished indicator bulb, a dead thigh for about a week (one word - slam) and even through a 400 quid rev it jacket plus armour a ripped up arm... oh and cos no gloves i took a nice lump off my finger Rolling Eyes
