How do i perform a kick on a bike? The amount of blind cagers around my area is ridiculous, and I want some payback for all their idiotic buffoonery! Twisted Evil Mr. Green

I figured that riding with a boot sticking out the side (a la jousting pose) for a couple of yards, aiming for the wing mirror, is highly dangerous and will lead to a spill. However, a stationary side of the ankle tap, wont give any satisfactory results. Laughing

Any advice guys? Karma Thumbs Up Very Happy

Matt

On the other hand is a lot of fun and makes you feel better.

Jousting is good but only lift leg up once you are level with their back bumper so you dont probe the back of their car. Your leg should be wing mirror height by now and don't pussy out or it won't work, just boot the mirror. They come off pretty easy.

Or use your hand and smack the window, give the driver a fright.

Discretion is the better part of valour, though. I've ridden like a prick on occasion (who hasn't?), and I can't imagine my reaction if I cut up a cager by accident and they then clonked my bike. It certainly wouldn't be the end of it.

Play Road Rash review the ingame animation.

Test it on a mate before fielding it.

a gentle tap on the window then ask them why they are behaving like twats.
some are sorry.
some pretend to be sorry(but still register that they are twats)
some dont care.
the last group cant be delt with in any way.kicking a mirror off will only make them worse idiots.
drag them out of the car and beat them.
they will feel like the victim and go out of thier way to be shit to the next bike(thinking its you).eventually they will kill someone.
stay away from them and maybe it wont be you.
you cant reason with nutters.

A little bang on the wing/bonnet with a fist and the old 'what the hell are you doing' hand gesture is usually enough.

Trouble with giving it a really big boot is often your leg goes one way and the bike goes the other. When you overbalance and fall off you

1)Look like a complete twat

2)Better be big enough to back up your actions with an irate driver bearing down on you and a bike stuck on top of you.

If you are going to whack a door mirror, hit it with your hand in a downward strike.

My serious advice would be don't bother, if anyone is going to come off worse its the rider not the driver. Just go home, have a cup of tea and post a thread on here about a near miss...we don't get enough of those.

Or you could try riding a little more defensively, then come on here and just lie about twattish things like kicking cars in an attempt to look big in front of a group of strangers Rolling Eyes

If you do think its a good idea to go dishing out acts of violence against other road users do try to think about the consequences and the kind of person it makes you. Consider also there are many, many, many nutters out there who may very well consider you to be fair game if you even attempt such bravado. If you attack someones car for cutting you up then I assume you will consider it fair and square for him to push your bike over then drive away while you are parked in town?

You do realise people have been stabbed to death over road rage incidents that start just as innocently don't you, why would you want to increase your chances of running into that one perfect crackpot that will mow you down and drive away?

Feel free to scream obscenities, raise your arms in disbelief or shake your head.... but once you go on the attack you have not only made yourself into a complete arsehole but you have also given someone else a green light to fuck you over.

Not to mention while you are blinded by road rage, you're not concentrating on the road ahead of you, surely it'd be time better spent trying to regain your composure and quieten your emotions a little?

You just reminded me I nearly got done on Tuesday night by someone flooring it round a mini roundabout I was on, if I'd have not read his intentions I'd have been side on to the front of his car at the point of impact.

As it was I very impressively did a dead stop without putting a foot down.

The thing was as he shot through in front of me, he was giving me the death stare like I was at fault. What a complete knob.

Back to the O.P.

Look I'm not being funny, but if you know "cagers" are useless and you know they're gonna take your space, not see you, pull out on you etc... Wise up and ride accordingly, don't be in a position where you get taken advantage of and/or are vulnerable.

Next time you see a driver about to do something stupid/reckless, back off, give them space, move away from the impending confrontation, it'll do wonders for your stress levels and concentration.

Try flashing them and waving in a polite manner just to let them know you're there and you've seen them.

I don't think violence/criminal damage will do anything to help our cause, Solidarnosc! and all that brother. Wink

EDIT: I typed that after drinking and now I've revised it in plain English

Thanks for the abusive rating, you really are quite pathetic in the way that you get all threatening
towards the ped boi's for their rating your post's boring, which they are I must add...
Then you go and rate my quoted post here abusive becuase you're too dumb to recognise my attempts at humour (double standards much?),
I make a similar post every time this thread comes up.

I told you to shut the fuck becuase you're starting to get on my nerves and you're fast making a fool of yourself.
You need to shut the fuck up and calm down, if you need to negatively rate my post's becuase you're to weak to just get on
and not let it effect you then please carry on until I start to react in the same childish manner. Middle Finger

I think bluex5 and mac_kaliba need either get married, or have a dirty one night stand in a sleazy motel , either way it might get rid of their sexual tension (no really, mac kaliba is a cunt)

And, to put a tangent on the whole thing...Has anybody been body searched whilst being stopped on a bike...just the (entirely unrealistic and nothing I would ever dream of actually doing!) of knocking on the window of the cager that just cut me up and pointing a (completely decommisioned) pistol at them, and watching their car steam up with their fear, makes the sociopathic serial killer-esque side of me laugh maniacally....

I now I'm a cunt and what a lovely cunt I am.
Thing is you're boring apparently, just like BlueX5 you hide behind the karma system as a sneidy little neg ninja.
I admit that it annoys me when people pointlessly rate my posts negatively, not becuase karma is the end of the world but I'm thinking why?
What is it that you feel you are achieving?
You don't actually know me, although you like to think you do and your arguments don't stand up so you'd rather just bash my karma?
Poor show and you're acting like an arsehole.

back to the O.P.

Best answer to your question is to...

Take a deep breath and count to 10... say woooosaah or do whatever the hell you want, tell yourself a funny joke or imagine yourself knobbing their wife/sister/mum.

You'll see the funny side and be more relaxed. Controlling your emotion rather than seeing red mist is how I'd go about it. Prevention is better than a cure.

If you ride defensively and try to anticipate and predict the action of such numpties, you'll take mitigating measures before the scenario would arise.

I've had this happen to me on the blade at least 4 times in the week when people just pull out on you without looking (pulling out onto the main road from sainsburys in loughborough)... a blast of the horn to let you know that you're there will alert them of your presence (Roadcraft promotes the use of such actions), but consider that you MAY upset them (well chances are they'd probably not have half a braincell to understand the significance of motorcylist blaring his horn). Make eye contact - it spooks them out if you have your eyes leering directly at them (even if it's momentary - you should be going slow enough to do this), it's more spookier if you have a black visor.

Even the old tosser sign can get you into a LOT of trouble if you end up gesticulating to the wrong character as I've found in the past... let alone a boot in the mirror.

So these idiots in their cages won't learn anything EVEN if you boot their door, so don't bother.

Worst comes to worse and they hit you/Tbone you - aim for the windscreen or bonnet (Bikesafe instructor said it's better to hit and claim rather than take avoiding action and pay out of your own pocket when it's clear it was their fault). So don't be compelled to act like a knob, because they'll probably see all bikers as bellends and might just carry on their single minded attack on bikers.
