Got a phone call last night from the police to say that my bike had been found abandoned on the city bypass after having been hotwired. I didnt even realise it had been stolen from my back garden because I had been out all day. Evil or Very Mad

98 CBR 600 with Steering lock snapped, wiring torn out, petrol cap jemmied out with a crow bar, its been dropped on both sides, rear nearside fairing is gone.

Any ideas how much it will cost to fix Question

I hope the fuckers that stole it crash and burn in the most painful and horrible way!!!! Sad

As has been said, not going to be cheap to get a shop to get all the bits in.

How mechanical are you? If its mainly bodywork/electrics (i.e. indicators) you might get away with doing a lot yourself.

I'd scout around ebay and perhaps sites like mandp.com for indicators/mirrors and bits.

Get a piece of A4 paper (or bigger), draw a line down the middle, put essential and nice to have on.

Essential should just be bits you need to get it roadworthy again. Add it up and get part hunting.

Dirty little rotting scumbag sh*tes should preferably sent to a remote island with vicious sharks and hungry tigers, then rigged with cameras for a good old reality show - numbers should be tattoed on sent thiefs so you can watch and see your thief get eaten - I wont watch Big Brother but i'd watch that. Thumbs Up

If it helps, some scumbag was knocking wingmirrors off cars the other night and also decided to target my bike - Wingmirror ripped off and stand kicked out and let fall! Not as much damage but feel the pain

just to let you know,

might make it easier visiting M&P Direct website.

www.mandp.com

they have a lot of stuff e.g
OEM Levers
Ignitition Barrells etc

but its probably wiser to go on there get a catalogue or 2 as they always have more in the catalogue.

if the plastics are broken get Race plastics, bit more tougher so im told.

David Silvers Honda spares.
I have found that ebay becomes dearer than a normal parts site due to bidding wars and postage costs.

Sorry to hear of the pikey b******* nicking your bike. Re the insurance, don't accept their first offer. Email them info on similar bikes and their prices to show what it would 'actually' cost to replace a bike like yours and get their offer upped.

Just had a check of autotrader and seen the prices are between £1700-£2000 for a similair bike. Christ my exhaust was £500 so I have sent an email as suggested to see what will happen.

Hahahaha do you know how much they quoted me for a front wheel for my 400?
£500!
Not including VAT or postage.
Ram's Ninja was half the price and that's a decent modern sportsbike!
Also my headlight, just the headlight was £300 odd Shocked , the brackets were an extra £50....
Their a complete joke I wouldn't even bother ringing them.
