following on from this post:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=145563&highlight=

i had a head on with another bike this morning on the way to work.

i was filtering behind a GS500 at about 30, when i see him dive out the way because of an oncoming bike going quite a bit faster than us. having a car directly next to me, not much i can do apart from squeeze up as far as i can, and hope for the best...

the best wasnt good enough, even though there was easily enough room for 2 bikes at a squeeze IMO.

so i get a nice big SMASSHHH, keep the bike upright, then pull over about 50 meters later at a fire station forecourt, then wait for a bit.

about 5 minutes later a guy in a car pulls up, telling me the other bike legged it after twatting his wingmirror off to get away.

by this time, my hands were starting to warm up a bit, and i thought ''hmm, pinkie smarting a bit'', and took off the glove to reveal...

https://img27.imageshack.us/img27/7216/16022009279mt8.jpg

a slightly more bent than usual finger.

so i head off to work, clock in, then head off to the OHC where its x-rayed, strapped up, im given work restrictions, and sent on my merry way.

all in a days work...

and now my cunting bike looks like this. (considering that corner of my bike was in relatively good condition before compared to the rest of it bar the mirror which was already scraped)

https://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3760/16022009280hp3.jpg

i think its finally RIP for the yellow screen. i might go for a bit of plastic weld on the cracked nosecone though, as its completely snapped.

also, i didnt come off the bike, so it doesnt count as a spill for the counter.

as far as i know, the bike was red, due to my toe sliders having red paint on them. and the guys leathers were black, due to my indicator and boot having leather scuff marks on them

What a cunt rider. I have noticed a lot fo bikers are very aggressive these days. I had a cbr 600f revs the nuts off the bike behind me on a ybr125 filtering. The cunt however couldn't keep up on the harder bits which made me smirk. Probably too much power or something to filter in the tight places.

Anyway I guess it's time to buy a new bubble and front fairing. Hope it's cheap

my theory is that its these wankers who are scared of riding in winter, cracking out the bikes now the weather is getting better.

as for price, the entire fairing set, a bit scuffed, cost me £30, so hopefully another will come up.

road from A38 heading towards camels head.

MOD CCTV only goes as far as the roundabout because of privacy laws and stuff, so the only thing to do if i want something done is to find out through the council.

started noticing more bikers out now as the weather is tollerable and some are totaly lunatics filtering at incredibly stupid times and reving the nuts off the bike then moving off slowly as they can accelerate for shit.

im just waiting for the first random rain showers and noticing bike wreckages everywhere.

I had a similar thing this morning some twat on a scabby SRAD was wobbling down the filter lane there was more than enough room or 2 bikes but he wobbled in to the path of my shinney red bike and I clipped his side. No real damage apart from what looks like a toe slider mark on the fairing.

You know it's warming up when you see bikes you've not seen all winter on the commute!

Some poor soul tried to filter the Seven Sisters road (between Manor 'ouse and Finsbury Park) yesterday afternoon and ended up in the front of a van- Suzuki dirt bike type thing from the looks of it, pulled over to see if I could help, but, being a match day, there were plenty of police in attendance. Lid but no gear, looked alive, but bits of bike were everywhere.

I'm guessing he's not been out recently on account of there being the world's biggest bus lane on the left...

All these un-neccesary incidents you find yourself involved in, one has to question how you acquired a license.....

I've been daft fair enough, but mine has all been messing about and avoidable, unlike getting myself into situations that are involving many others...

Karma, does appear to be a bitch. Laughing

It's probably a future you...

Trying to build up speed to 88mph to head back to the future, then clips the present day you. It's more likely than you think. Therefore it is still an incident where you have been a dick Laughing

FWIW I saw more bikes in and out of Camel Head last week than all of the roads I drove on put together. Seems like the base commuters are hardier than the average biker.
