does anybody know if their is a restriction in the standard exaust , if their is 1 like a washer or something any idea how far down it would be i don't mind cutting the exaust open as its no problem to re weld but i don't want to cut it in to little bits to find a restrictor Shocked

btw does the slopped edge of the power valve blade face up towards the tank or down towards the exaust Embarassed

Hi

Just explained (I hope) in the other thread.

The official imports of that age were purely restricted by a power valve blanking plate, effectively like having the power valve in the low power position all the time.

I will try and post a picture in a bit when my card reader comes back to life.

cheers keith u was rite about it needing a clean was totaly shitted up so i cleaned everything and wd40ed the cable etc etc i just want to make sure i have fitted it in the rite way , tis a bit fiddly under the tank isnt it ,i think all italians must have hands like 2 year old kiddies

Hi

It makes it easier if you remove the battery box. Undo the bolt holding the water header tank, take out the battery and then there are (I think) only a couple of bolts holding the battery box in place. Gives you loads more room.

Here is a picture of the barrel, and you can just about see the power valve position (note this is the barrel and valve from a later bike with the Rotax 122 engine).
