Quick question. What happens if you get stopped for wearing a tinted visor? Has it happened to anyone? ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

Bike copper told me whilst having friendly chat that if bike copper they dont worry too much as they know why you are wearing it (they know we are perving girlies!!) so unless you riding at night or thru tunnels (in which case you probably be dead soon anyway) you should be fine, if car coppers see you generally they are thick and dont know the law anyway nice to see mutual respect for cagers carries thru in all professions
So if do knick you for it then probably on the back of other reasons, bit like failing MOT, one silly ok, but 10 sillies then do you for them all. ____________________ 2001 Hornet 600 - "Faster than yellow" Blue; Current: 1998 Yammy FZS 600 "Fazer" Black

I've been pulled when i was speeding in scotland, cops done nothing with regards to my visor and I wasn't particularly the poster boy for good riding.
Ear splittingly loud "legal can" (BSAU etc on a full race system - just don't ask me how)
8x6 plate
No tax displayed - I had a photocopy which got nicked since I had the genuine one under my seat
Riding with dark visor
And when pulled over, all that was coming out of my headphones was trivium!
Fair play to them, i just bent over and took it up the arse and got nothing other than 3 points and 60 quid, which was fair play. Rule of thumb is that if you get stopped, try to be polite and courteous, they're not all bellends! To be fair, i got caught doing 42 in a 30 zone, which i thought was NSL but I wasn't familiar with the surroundings. I had ALL the ingredients that would have resulted in a raping, but I didn't. It's much to do with your attitude too. I always ride with a dark visor - even in the dull, gloomy weather - why? Because the contrast filters out the reflections from the roads more, meaning that i can TRY to figure out where rainbows are at junctions, lights and roundabouts - i AM NOT having another spill attributed to diesel! ____________________ The Tot 2019 Z1000SX - 2007 R1

Iv always used a tinted visor because it cost me £20 to have the pinlock put on it and not the clear, But now i got the clear 1 done too so i just carry both

I was stopped once, specifically for wearing a dark visor. So it does happen.
I was doing 38 in a 30, smallish plate and has a race can and all he warned me about was the visor. ____________________ the undemocratically unelected mod of the Scottish section |
