and what did it taste like?

Mine was a Finnish specialty dessert thing made with cows milk, but special 'maternity' milk that the cows produce immediately after giving birth and only for short period of time, apparently. Tasted really sweet, almost of caramel and was really sickly. Also had a mental texture (bit like tofu) and it stank. Sick Finished it though (no pun intended) to be polite and all that.

How weird I knew I was turning into a cow as my babies breath smells of caramel. Must be what that milk smells like then, I was asked to taste my own milk but for some reason I just cant bring myself to. Sick

Anyway I havnt been adventurous with food really as I think most stuff will poisin me (yes I am one of them freaky people who has a fear of food poising and the skits)

kangaroo for me.

Not the weirdest but was to me.
In walkabout one evening and decided to try - very strong.
I would try again but as a treat only - Just felt guilty walking back up from the loo's - In Brighton they have a photo of a kangaroo on the wall Laughing
Whilst in Greece some guys had lunch on the next table - One whole baby squid - wanted to try but thought no Thumbs Down

Deep fried chickens feet. Much like you'd imagine, just horrible gristle.

A gloopy jelly-like substance, overly sweet and sickly...in fluoroscent colours. Wasn't actually sure what I was eating or why or whether I enjoyed it...tried it because, well it's not every day you are in HK!

I used to be quite partial to chocolate spread and beetroot sarnies, the flavours kinda went together quite well they weren't as nice as pickled onions wrapped in marzipan though. Embarassed

Following from the sushi thread, I have had octopus in sushi form. It was lovely, but I am unsure how I feel about eating it though, they are very very clever and I feel quite bad about it.

Eel is another thing I love but is endangered in UK waters.

A mate of mine had a mustard, custard, cheese and peas sandwich for a bet once. Rhyming food FTW!

I was partial to Gundwan (dried Rat) in Zimbabwe. Get a nice clean rat.. Gut and skin then rub with salt and pepper.. hang by the tail in the shade to dry...eat with a cool beer.
Puff adder is nice but Mopani worms are just nasty.
At Khazi in Uzbekistan ..Smoked horse meat and fat that is at least four years old. Tasted ok but you do not need a lot.

I am vegie now Mr. Green

Sounds a bit like a mate of mine who ate cotton wool balls dipped in piccalilli, but then he's a pisshead on the dole, that blew all his giro in the pub on the day he got it, and had no other food in. He also ate a dead toad (road kill) but that's a whole other story.
