My new wheel I bought finally arrived. I didn't know it had a tyre on but does.

It says it's not for road use. It's a Bridgestone but doesn't have a model.

Can I use it on the road?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Hi

Well, you could use it on the road, but it is probably a competition tyre. It will probably not get up to temperature on the road, will wear badly and will be far more prone to punctures. Also likely to make the bike more unstable.

Oh, and should you have an accident with it fitted then the insurance company would not be impressed.

All the best

Keith

Yes, it will probably feel like you are riding on ice because it will never get warm enough to be sticky.

Replace it with a road tyre John. Thumbs Up
