Probably not in the best of everyone's interest.

I've always fancied a go at MX. And rather than buying some MX tyres for the pit bike, and having to swap them with the Road tyres every time I want to off road. I decided to get a set of wheels too.

And rather than pissing around with different spacers each time I want to swap wheels, I decided to get the same set of Billet hub'd wheels as my Supermoto set up, But with a 14" front instead.

And because im super lazy, I decided to buy a set of disks and a matching sprocket too! So I've a second set of wheels, Fully built up, Which can be swapped over in under 10 minutes.

Just got to keep an eye out for a KLX front mudguard now. I did have one, But I chopped it down. Then eventually threw it away and fitted a CRF mudguard.

But as the 14" wheel is going to kick up a SHIT load of dirt, im gonna need a bigger front mudguard I think.

The suspension is fully adjustable, and easy to adjust too, Dont need any tools or anything. Apart from the spring on the rear, But thats set how I like it, I can still change the dampening and compression at both front and rear, by hand.

Just looking into MX tracks at the moment. Although curiosity is killing it, And I might stick the knoblies on tomorrow and shoot across to bluebell hill, there's some good green lanes there. REALLY Muddy ones! Smile

Ive only had a go round the carpark on the MX tyres because the Concrete will trash them.

The 150 motor has so much toque though, Its just constantly spinning up the rear on the MX tyres. Was doing a U-turn in my car park, Heel out, gave it some gas, and it proper slid the arse out. Was like a MotoX Berm! Cool

Cant wait to get off road.

The MX wheels are off again now. I'll only be using them when I take it off road. And even then, I'll have to take the MX wheels with me, And quickly swap them over at the track. OR take the bike in the car.

Reason being, Them MX tyres are illegal on the road. And they are damn right dangerous too. Laughing

They have

"For motocross use only" written allover them.

Plus they are dangerous on tarmac. VERY dangerous. Going round corners causes LOADS of oversteer. Back end slips and slides under acceleration.

And they will last about 100 miles before going bald.

Seems a waste of time to me binge, i would of stuck it to supermoto where it would be fun enough, on dirt tracks an stuff i'd rather have a full size big wheel MX bike like a KX125 or bigger deffo a smoker, just seems more right, my mate used to have a pit bike an used go down the woods alot be he soon got bored of gettin stuck and stuff.
Each to their own i suppose, post up a write up of the day you take it out with loads of pics, should be a good read. Thumbs Up Very Happy

Meh. £250 worth of wheels/tyres/disks/sprocket. For £140 posted.

I get on alright with an Importer. So get mega good deals.

If I dont get on with the MX, I'll just sell the wheels. I'll get what I paid for them easily.

I need the wheels anyway, For a Charity run we are doing. Got 10 pit bikes so far. Monkey bikes, C90s, Madass's, And anything else with a C90 style Horizontal single is welcome.

Doing Landsend to John O'Groats over 4 days. And stopping off at a couple of tracks along the way.

And I REFUSE to sit out and watch everybody having fun because I've got SM tyres. Laughing

First run on them I'll get a video. Dam_Buster will have his pit bike on the road in the next few weeks. So we'll get some good green lane videos. Smile

Not really no. But where I live, I am 10 minutes form Bluebell hill. And once your at Bluebell Village. You've got Kitts Kote. Which runs from Bluebell Village to Burham.

And then if you go under that underpass halfway down the A229, Just around the corner from the bottom of Kitts Kote. There is another green lane, But a REALLY muddy one which you wouldnt even get a car down. And that leads back up to the back end of Loordswood. Smile

It's about a 6 mile round trip of greenlanes.
