Warrenty issues

Had my 58 plate r6 since October but im on the verge to getting a full exhaust system for it although i havent decided which yet? Also as i have 2 years warrenty for the bike if i fit either a full exhaust system or just even an end can will this effect it. Just wondered what you lot did? Thanks Cool

i think if you get them at the dealership to change it, it shouldnt be a problem?

i know people who have had cans changed at the dealership and it hasnt affected the warrenty Thumbs Up

Never effected the warranty with my Remus, but did double check with the dealer before I put it on.

put the new one on, and put the old one back on if you need any warranty stuff doing?
just make sure you copper grease the studs... bit hard to explain sheared studs on a warranty job.

Dealer fit or not, if it's not an official accessory your warranty will technically be void. However, in practice it is very unlikely to cause any warranty claims to be rejected unless it has caused/contributed to the fault. For example, if you fit an exhaust and the front wheel falls off, you'll be covered. However, if the engine overheats and seizes, you won't be (they could claim [and could well be right] that it was running lean due to the exhaust and that caused the seizure).
