Baffle out? Whats the deal?

If you get pulled by the police and you've got your baffle out making your exhaust not road legal, what would happen?

Depends on your attitude which would have a direct affect on the cop's mood. Most bike cops will probbaly just mention it. They didn't mention it when i got pulled despite blatantly hearing me exiting the village!

Fine and a rectification notice I guess...

That said my end can has the holes for the baffle and I suppose I could wing it and say its fallen out (it really did fall out) , but when passing traffic volvos its a case of low revs and or clutch in to cruise past them anyway.

Think it is a £60 fine and no points, probably with a rectification notice. Although they could take you to court if they wanted (unlikely unless you were taking the mickey), or they could get nasty and check if your insurance excludes cover for an illegal exhaust.

I got pulled by the essex traffic police & recieved a 60 pound fine & 3 points so just dont risk it!

p.s dont try and escape a traffic volvo if your bike is bright yellow!
