Im looking for a salvage company to come to mine and take the bike off my hands. Im in London if that helps.

Insurance company have said its a right off, but have said that I need to deal with it as the third parties insurance are going to minus the salvage value from the cheque they are going to send me.

Any help would be grateful.

Break it and flog the bits off, or simply tell the ins co you want full payout and they can come and take the bike away.....

Don't forget you need to be charging them storage charges as well Wink

Take a few pics and stick it on ebay if you are going to sell, I'd say.
Should get a decent amount more for it that way.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Cheers for the replies guys.

Finally got the bike back from where it was being stored and have found the damage isnt as bad as I remembered. Although I was laying on a roundabout at the time I looked over at it and was properly more worried about being run over or why my leg hurt.

Insurance company have said its a category C right off.
Its a yamaha YBR125 and the shops wanted more than what I paid for it new. Looking at it, it only seems like I need to repair the back indicators, mudgard, number plate, brake lever and straighten the handle bars.
As long as the frame isnt bent and the wheels go in the same direction it shouldn't need too much work so I think I might keep it.

Another question though. If I have received the cheque for the claim am I still allowed to keep the bike or do I have to get rid of it?

Best to check with the insurer.

If you get a settlement, some insurance companies will want to take the vehicle off you.

Saying that, when someone wrote my car off, the insurance paid off and advised me that they would not be collecting the car and to do with it as I pleased.
