hi m8
it appears to be the crankcase breather and would normally go to the air box.
this bike will probably run better with it connected as engine's need to breath and this may be restricting performance
you could use a piece of rubber hose and make it fit to the air box if you are up for the job a the brush has got to go hth |

Crank-case breathers can come off the rocker cover. Lots of bikes have it set up like that. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

What happens if you take it out!?!?!?
It does look like a breather to me ...
Bearing in mind I am fairly sure its just a breather, if it were me, I'd take the brush out (funny as feck that!! ) start the bike and see what happens ...
If it was a breather noting really should happen ... well except for some air-flow.
You then need to get a bit of pipe and either connect it to the airbox, or if that bit/nipple is broken off or summin, run it down to the ground where any oil vapour can be jettisoned without making the bike all yucky!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

It looks like a breather tube which is routed through the airbox for emmisions purposes. Personally I'd just reconnect it to the airbox as a 125 4T aint gonna make any noticceable perormance gains anyways, though if you must block the hole its left in the airbox and fit a filter to the breather (engine) outlet ____________________ Ducati 996 Biposto

Yep, that's how I remember it.
Still say it looks like something a cable would be going into. have you tried taking the chromecover on the head off to see what is beneath? ____________________ Andy Sez....

That pic does show one/it on the crankcase, but it's not uncommon to have a breather at the top of an engine ... at the end of the day the camchain 'run' allows the airflow from the bottom to the cam/rocker cover area.
Looking at the OPs pics, the pipes size and its position, I'd bet a shiny that is all it is!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |
