Some fair deals going at the moment....

Except for this....

79396312228 - NOLAN N103 CLASSIC N-COM SILVER M = £219.264,99

Bet they don't sell many at that price.

Wonder how much they will give for a 2007 cat Wink

Stoke HG espically. They've been resorted to spamming public forums. Laughing

I picked up the new '09 catalogue on Saturday, I'm quite friendly with the manager and he gave me one...

Anyway, I'd called over to see if they had any 10w40 oil and they run out and couldn't give me a time for it being back in stock.

I must admit, I've been getting increasingly disappointed with HG of late.

I've tried on gear that was labelled as the same size and seen huge differences in size between different styles of jacket etc...

But, the funniest was the gloves I tried on all the large were huge, all the medium were small, and every right-hand glove made me look like Jeremy Beadle.

And why oh why do they stop doing good stuff? Their xtrafit GTX gloves have been dropped and they've been replaced by a pair of goatskin marigolds. Rolling Eyes

I've had utterly shocking customer service from HG, so they've lost my custom, a lot of my biking mates think I'm an idiot for going there in the first place, they are rapidly losing respect I believe.

Customer service from our store was pretty good.
We would help where possible but someone who I wont mentioned tried to get around sending items off for repair/exchanging items.
One time someone come in with a pair of gloves that had lost stitching - So its a straight swap if we have the gloves in store other wise its warranty. Well this said someone made the excuse that the glove 'wasnt ment for daily use' Shocked
It really is a joke what they used to do.

It is disappointing because 4-5 years ago all my biking mates were saying "go to Hein Gericke, their stuff's great" etc... and perhaps it was, then.

I'm still pleased with my Tricky II Goretex trousers, even if the right-leg is a whole inch larger in circumference than the left.

They had the audacity in store to suggest it was my boots...

"Not meant for daily use" Laughing

I've never been massively impressed with what they have had in the store, it's always way over priced and never seems to be as good quality. Although that may just be the Bristol store..

Just an FYI, they're not giving away £5 notes;

It's £5 off anything £30 and over, on the day.

There's an ebay outlet for HG stuff which is for seconds or returned goods.
Some of the faults are quite minor and the sort of thing you might do to stuff yourself after a couple of weeks of wear.

Yes some stuff is really minor - Some of it is dam lazyness - I dont mind if I get it cheaper.
One example were a pair of white SMX boots - Brand new, but the metal heal has slight scuffs.
They sold for around £70 IIRC - It would of cost them £10 to replace the heal plates and sell for full price.
Still im not moaning - I still look to see what cheap stuff they have.

Well i got a email responce which only had the correct price in, nothing along the lines of thank you for bringing it to our attention and we will get it fixed......

Still the same now Embarassed

Called into the Leeds HG to have a look round. 2 staff menbers in there and they never even looked up from what they were doing...

Most of their clothing seems to be way over priced.
