Watching this made the hairs on my neck stand up, hearing and seeing the violence of it.

Clearly he is a footballer - milking it for all it was worth by lying there!! Very Happy

What exactly happened? He looked right to his audience, but I don't see how that would cause the crash?

He must of come down with the wheel slightly wonky and caused a tankslapper, would be pretty hard to recover a tankslapper at speeds like that!

Yep, don't suppose it helped doing it on a heavily cambered and bumpy lane either.

Not licking the lads arse here but I've seen LukeVFR drop the front wheel down on his R6 at 140mph+ on the motorway leaving 10ft black lines on the road. And a serious amount of wobble on the front of the bike. (Sitting down wheelies)

I'd say the guy in the video was doing a stand up wheelie. And when the front wheel dropped, He was stood up with one foot on a pillion peg still. Body weight miles above the bike. And just disrupted the balance big time.

Just looking at the footage of him mid wheelie makes me think its a stand up wheelie.

I like the way he casually flicked up his visor even before he'd finished rolling!

Looks like he nodded to the other guys and turned the bars at the same time, maybe cause his weight moved when he nodded, so when he put it down the wheel was wonky = tankslapper?
