Need some new front discs for my ZX9 and these are only slightly more than used original ones:

Anyone used them and got any comments, etc?

Don't.

In the Feb 09 issue of Bike they tested one on a TZR250 and 'it lasted one 10-minute track session before warping'.

Abe site doesn't work, another site seems to sell standard ones 'from' £99 each which they say is 25% off retail.

Give ABE a ring - do a yellow pages search on them; they ought to be listed in Greenwich or some place.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I put a set of chinese discs on my 3 litre saab. They have lasted ok. I doubt they would last on a track, but the road aint a track!

I bet if you buy the disks and aren't a total hooner they will be fine.

Sorry, that's ABE discs from the other site. I've never found them to be /that/ cheap in the past, though the price for custom made discs doesn't tend to be too bad.

I can often ride a little 'aggressively', though this bike is being used moderately sedately through town; however if I sort my brakes out, there may be some harsher braking too.

I expect at some point a decent few stoppies will be done on them - though stoppies are probably les stressful than track work.

My YZF750 warped its first disks at 4000 miles, I had those replaced under warranty and the replacements did about 15,000 miles before I had to replaced em again as they were well below min thickness.
I've put ebc's on now, Think it was just over £300 for both fronts and a rear.

Got EBC discs and pads on my bike. I'm pleased with them, they do the job nicely, haven't shown any signs of warping.

I believe it's got 'EBC pro lites' on there at the moment - think they've worn a bit quickly, but presumably partly because they're lighter, presuming they actually are.
