Ady Smith enduro school March 28th, Staffs... anyone?

As per the title, I'm tempted to do an Ady Smith enduro school at the end of next month:

£80 if you take all your own stuff, or £155 if you use their's. I think you get a choice of bikes (give them a shout first) so could be good for those wanting to try out some different types of bike.

Pretty sure they've said they'll take people of all abilities, though that's what CSS said and left me disappointed Rolling Eyes

- however should be easier in this sort of situation I expect.

Seen some good stuff about this, but not too much (no bad stuff though Smile

)... however I'm sure they'll have something too teach as I know there's loads of stuff I can improve on that I'd no doubt improve quicker on with some pointers.

If I do it, might even make a weekend of it and do enduroland the day after as it's on the way back as such.

This is tempting... Its only 28miles away from uni and i could do with learning some skills!

I'll put myself out and say "I'll come" (on the condition that the bike, which is currently is in the garage doesn't cost too much to fix)!

Very Bloody Tempting, G/Bendy - If you did it would you be planning on driving up friday evening and travel lodging (one 9 mile up the road for 22 quid a for the night per person) it or drive up on the day? Also am I blind or is there no mention on the site as to what time of day the whole thing starts/finishes ?

G - you vanning it up and taking one of your bikes or using it as an excuse to stack someone elses bike Smile

Right, I checked with them and they suggest that it's intended really for people actually 'racing' in enduros (not sure if that's technically what you call my entry in enduros, but it'll do Razz

). They suggested that experienced trail riders should be ok too - I'd give them a call to check, those that are still interested and haven't done any enduros, etc. The range of people I've seen riding in Hare and Hounds has varied quite a bit, though I've been riding in a relatively slow club.
Alternatively, they did say they had six spaces free, so if enough people were interested, you could always see if they would run a session for people not looking for competitive racing knowledge Smile

Incidentally, most probably vanning up in the morning. Would be space free in the van, I expect.

They let people that have never been offroad do the weekend as well... when our group was asked only two of ten had been offroad before!!

And you get to swap bikes as often as you like, there's no 'THIS ONE IS MINE' they want you to have a go on all the bikes!

PS. they fully clothe you as well... you could turn up in your undies and they'll fully kit you from head to foot so you don't need to worry about washing the mud off at the end of the weekend... apart from the mud in your undies (I'm not kidding!... Although I think someone had previously made a small hole in the trousers I had)

I expect as they've got spaces free they may well be happy to open it up a bit, however when I talked to them the other day they suggested that as it is it wouldn't be suitable for the reasons above.

Oh, and haven't you learnt your lesson about letting your bloke getting in the way of the important things in life Razz

Im reckon my trail riding experience is very lacking! Just worries me that im be proper crap/slow. I'd want to do it with some people who are in a similar boat! Neutral

I'd love to go. But i think i might just buy a cheapish 2stroke and get some practice in and do it late summer.
