They are identical to the motohispania (?) rx50 (same engine, body work, wheels, brakes, basically everything ). So just look for reviews on them and it should give you a good idea. |

i own the same bike, and having alot of trouble with it , still, ive heard alot of good stuff about them, (peugeot XR6 man)i think its just me...........
off the peugeot site road reviews:
"Yes, it’s a moped. But no, it’s not ‘just’ a moped. Peugeot’s new XR-6 is as much a pure sports bike as any CBR or GSX-R – it’s just a bit smaller, that’s all. And a bit slower, obviously, but not as slow as you might think"
"Once out of town and onto some country lanes, it easily got itself up to an indicated 50mph, and it could hold that up hill and down thanks to fairly low gearing. Too low in fact – on the flat it was easy to rev it another couple of thousand past the ten grand redline and way off the top of the 50mph speedo, which doesn’t bode well for reliability in the hands of speed crazed sixteeners – taller gearing would be better."
sadly, my Xr6 does about 15 mph flat out uphill......i bet the shop messed about with it before they gave it me "i brought it brand new".

50cc racing? See that in my high street all the time
Didn't know that actually happened...sounds dull..
(someone post a link for this, I've never heard of this)
And yes it would take skill to get 100mph out a 50cc ped engine
Got no problem with learners on 50's at all! Just saying don't compare them with 600 + thats all. Don't believe the hype. Salesmen will say anything as will manufacures. Their trying to sell bikes/peds.
Chill for f*cks sake...
I know there refering to position, attitude etc but please it's a 50cc!
If you like them, buy one. But I would get something cheap because you'll soon out grow it and possibly drop it. Buy what you want, it's your call and everyone starts somewhere. Even people with blades started with 50's etc. Follow your heart, dude
Never mentioned speed or bhp Jimbo, but 7bhp...steady on. (although they do weigh f*ck all) Do you work for Pug or what? :l ol:
Penis jokes, ahh I'm 15 again. One more thing...grow up Jimbo. Zzzzzz
Got to go, the lawn mower TT is on... |

This quote was shown to be accurate. There is a long and distinguished history behind 50cc machines. They handle to the extremes expected of full sports bikes, and they can be tweaked to a high state of tune. And yet flip again states:

So it's all down to engine size really? Get a 1.1L Ford Fiesta. Nearly DOUBLE the capacity of a 600! Wow! must be sportier.
The sad reality is that you ploughed into a thread on a New Bikers forum, with the apparent intent of putting down new bikers looking for information on a bike. Now is that very secure?
Take your own advice friend. If you have nothing to say, don't say it. Perhaps it's unintentional, but you've tried to spoil the enjoyment of another person of a motorcycle, by attempting to nurture the idiotic "bigger engine=better bike" mentality. The nett effect is a inferiority complex inflicted on new/younger bikers that they have to carry while riding 50s and 125s, when they should just be having fun and getting the best out of their bike. Try not to saddle others with preconceived baggage; relax and think of the flowers and the little bunnies.

Good morning... Reano has good taste (thanks for the mention ) in 50cc bikes, no it isn't a gixxer, it wont pull off the lights like a gixxer, it wont go faster than a gixers first gear, but if I can get my knee down on a 50 regularily and just go mad on corners, and have surprised big bikers (still left me tho ) and just generally makes any 16 year old feel like a dog with two dicks, then surely it is as easily as sporty as a Gixer, because sport has nothing to do with engines at all, its about fun. Fox hunting is sporting, thats the only reason they do it. they dont say that a learner on a little horse is not as sporting as a pro on a big horse.. do they?
Anyway Reano, stay cool, and don't do what i just did... ____________________ All bikes should come self equipped with a Skweejee, so you can un-smear your self from that bus...
