Around a hundred off that since you've done the CBT.

After that it's £325 minus the actual cost of the test booking, which I can't remember for shit, but it'll be something like 120-150 a day.

If that's good value to you....

If it's of any help I'm pretty sure I paid less with Motag, I forget exact figures but I think it came to around the 100/day mark.

Either way, recommend them - lots of centres so may be one near you, southampton instructors were dead helpful

Good luck!

Bear in mind, if you have experience, you'll really just want the tuition to tidy up your bad habits.

have you got your own bike??

if so as you are doing only A2 just do a days training and then do all the other booking direct yourself, much cheaper.

also if you have your own bike consider getting advice from a friend that has passed their test. get him/her to ride behind you and assess what you are doing wrong. it worked for me. they way i figured was that you can take the test 4times before you lose money. and that's if you pass first time even with the training.

You could go in for your test 5 times before spending £425.
Its unlikely you would fail all 5 tests.

If he passes his test after the 3 or so time doing it that way he might lose out more in way of work, ect so might not be cheaper then having training and passing first time, also the training will help in the long run. If you have your own bike have a few lessons off an instructor, i had 2 lessons just to correct things and passed first time. Depends how confident you are.

That sounds like a pretty good price if the instructors are good. Mine is £400 for 3 days. 2 days with 3 hours training on each then 2 hours training and a test on the last day.

Should have my licence in 2 weeks! Very Happy

I paid £200 for 2 days training (2*5 hours) with my own bike, I then booked my own test and past first time with no minors. My instructor was great Thumbs Up

Previous to the training I had ridden a moped and the 125 for 6 months before doing training and taking the test. But this was back in July 2007 so I guess prices have gone up a bit since then.

£200 for 10 hours training is bloody good, even on your own bike. Mine is £320 for 8 hours training but on the centres bikes.

Matthie yours seems bloody expensive, (320/8) £40 an hour for training, the most expensive car training I have seem/heard of is £25 an hour.

£40 an hour, yikes!

But I guess they could say £50 a day on hire (50/3) so that would be £240.... making it £30 an hour which is a bit more acceptable.

Expensive thing learning to pass a test.

It is actually reasonable what I am paying, Tutton off here is paying around 150 for each session I believe now that's expensive!
