Ok so I take my fairing off yoesterday, and put all the bolts into a cup, put them on the shelf out of the way, clean the bike and the go to put the fairng back on tonight, and just like always theres a fvcking bolt missing, and it's always the bloddy same, take bolts out put hem back in and theres one missing,

Does this happen to you?

Yes , its why I replaced all the bolts with 9p stainless steel ones I can easily source and have 100s of them so it doesn't matter if I lose them.

yep happens to me all the time, ill search the garage for ages, then give up, and then find it inside on the coffee table,
im terrible with tools as well
ive found the best thing to do is when you remove a bolt or nut, screw it back to the place it came from after you have removed the part.

I have the complete oppersite, I put the fuckin thing back together and have bolts left. Once there was a pretty big one left, I still haven't found where it went.

I have the opposite problem i took the fairing to bits to give it all a good clean and now i have 3 spare screws
