Not for me. Might appeal more if, as said above all in gloss finish but am really getting pretty bored of the CF obsession within the car/bike modding scene. If its a weight saving thing on a machine being used for track/competition use then fair enough but seems 99% CF useage these days is for bragging rights and supposed pose factor only.

The machined top yoke is pretty smart in a 'I want to be a 749 when I grow up' way although the bars look way off in those pictures, the rest is a bit OTT though.

Why develop a brand new carbon fibre kit for a bike that's no longer in production? Seems pointless to me.

Oh...and it looks fucking awful too. 'Cross stitch' springs to mind.

I'll likely take a seat unit when they put it into production. It looks messy because of the mixture of gloss and matt finishes.
The reason why its been developed is because its a captive market for the company, no one else is giving any serious effort to aftermarket parts for the bikes but alot are still in circulation.

Top yoke should be black to match in with the cf, along with the frame and swingarm.

On the right bikes it will work, on others it will look tacky as hell.

i think it actually looks fairly cool, i dont agree that it needed the tank cover, if you made the tank completly out of carbon fibre that would be different. (like the old montessa's with the fibreglass tanks )

and being in thailand ect the vfr400 is a big bike, most bikes are around 100cc, getting a brand new r1 to do your first carbon fibre bike, would break the bank. let alone the hassles of trying to import one into thailand

The money would be better spent on a part-ex for a more powerful machine. It doesn't look very nice either! It's too matt black and doesn't suit the bike.
