Hi everyone,
Im looking for either a bit of help OR advice, not sure which yet
It seems my bikes plate has been subject to cloning. Been going on a few months now and Im getting PCNs etc every other week now. Starting to really piss me off now. Its been reported to the police and the reg has been flagged to be pulled if spotted.
Problem is im up in the North East, and the twat who has cloned my plate is circulating in the London area. The guy is basically riding around and commiting any offence he likes and getting on his jolly way. Now the guy may not be a crim and may have bought the bike unknowingly, but i think the fuker knows as he must be due to tax or insure it at some point. The genuine tax has recently expired.
Now would any of you peeps in London be willing to keep an eye out and maybe make a swift call to the boys in blue if you spot this chariot parked up or circulating in the area?? Or am i asking for even more trouble by parading my reg and the details etc on the net??
Anyone had this happen to them?
Any suggestions/helpful folk welcome
cheers guys |

Dont want to give too much info out as yet unless anyone is willing to help. Although I appreciate London is a rather large place so if any of these areas/roads ring bells then you know you can help
St Margarets Rd (borough of richmond)
Back Hill - (camden)
Carlisle Street (city of westminster)
Hammersmith bridge road
cheers |

Hey sickpup, i sent the same pm to you as i did to the other guys. Basically a reg which is missing only two digits with a picture of what the bike looks like. I also stated to the other guys that i didnt want to reveal the full reg. Nobody else questioned it. Like i said to you If you have the pretty distinct bike description, you know the rider description, you have the beggining and the end of the reg isnt it pretty much 99% certain that if you put all those together it is going to be the bike in question??? My thinking was that theres a small chance someone on here might well spot it, remember the post, pm me that they seen it and we would go from there confirming it was the cloner etc.
I dont expect people to go out of there way and start asking me for the full reg , yet being very vague about what they are doing with it. This is the internet afterall and for all I know the guy who has cloned the bike could well be reading the thread.
And im pretty sure the pm function is for private conversations,
but hey you want to spit your dummy out over something so minor go ahead, no skin off my nose. |

Hi, well if i wanted help finding my bike then i'd give my reg.
I don't bother airbrushing my reg when i post a pic, cloners just as likely to sit at a roundabout and fill their books.

Are you thick?
How many W reg red GT550's with Keith gold boxes do you think are in London? Let me give you a hint, Addison Lee used to buy over 100 a year until they went out of production and then bought up ALL the remaining stock worldwide registering them as needed, Moves purchased 50+ a year until they were bought out. All used in Central London.
How big do you think London is?
Do you really think a courier seen one day will be seen again for weeks?
I am a courier and the two days I worked last week I went to Various places around London, Oxfordshire, Coventry, Southampton, Plymouth. This rider allegedly on your plates may not even be from a London company so seeing him once is possibly your only chance.
YOU ARE WASTING PEOPLES TIME WITHOUT GIVING THEM THE REG.
If I see a possible bike I will give the rider your love, without the full plate there's nothing else I can do.
As for spitting the dummy out I get pissed of at people wasting my time. In this case I'll just look on the bright side, my plate isn't cloned and I'm not to stupid to refuse help from someone when it's offered. |

Marjay, I dont know sickpup, but im not for one minute suggesting he was looking to clone my plate. I just didnt want to hand out the full reg. If someone doesnt want to give out information on the net then id respect their wishes. I thought giving the 1st digit and the last 4 digits along with a description of a very distinctive bike/rider was ample enough but its clearly not
Seems I came looking for help and left with an arse-raping |

Heh even I owned a red GT550, but seriously a partial reg is useless, my NTV and my CBR AND my Africa twin had number plates which were a really odd coincidence , in that they all had the same middle bit bar the first letter and the last letter. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
