I finished work at 2pm and rode 2 minutes up the road and there was a policeman pulling over random cars and talking to the drivers, not 10 mins up the road was another policeman but on a bike, he was almost unnoticeable behind a van.
I also have seen at least 4 ambulances with blue flashing lights today Confused .
Then on the way to town I was getting flashed by tons of cars so I slowed right down, low and behold behind a corner was a camera van.
I saw one a few days ago and coupled with today it just seems odd, I've never seen so many of them in this space of time in my area before (swansea).
Is it just my area or has anyone else noticed an increase lately?

Also while going up the motorway I had a car behind me with a small blue light in his right grill, was this an unmarked police car?
Weather was crap so I was going slow but for future reference it would be handy.

It's probally due to a crack down in your area, they go phases like that, trying to show force by having them everywhere. They are trying to make people worried about getting caught.

As for the unmarked car bit, that won't have been police probally just some twat. If you do a search on here there's loads of stuff on how to spot unmarked cars, the main I use is they normally have 2 rear view mirrors and extra ariels.

Yup... there was a camera van on the A470 yesterday (next to that Power League 5-a-side place) in Cardiff, and another on an overbridge on the M4 just out of Bridgend.

Bar stewards, the lot of em!

It's sunny, the police come out to nick speeding motorists and get a tan at the same time.

Thumbs Up

Aye,

M40 southbound around the M25 junction had a van on a bridge, then a marked volvo tore onto the Motorway right in front of me and shot off across all 4 lanes. Then saw his buddy parked up a mile or so later...

I forsee a gentle cruise home.. Smile

Alot around London, Im noticing more than camera vans there are days when whole traffic divisions set up shop on a busy road and just go to town on everyone.

Also many annoying Census checks, They get a marked police officer to stop traffic (slowing everything down) in order for civil servants/MORI people ask you questions about your journey, where you came from where you are going to, purpose of journey... Stuff they have no business knowing.

Followed SEG (Special Escourt Group) protecting two black range rovers from Wandsworth to Chelsea down the kings road. Lost em when they went the wrong way round a roundabout, followed about 10 seconds later by some confused bint in a punto the wrong side of a major traffic island with an oncoming bus and no police bikes to stop it Laughing

Just been out on the bike and there were an alarming number of a police about. Fortunately just in cars, didn't see any doing speed checks.

Yeah, I have seen an increase too. I put my cut down baffle back in as it is the only thing not legal.
