It won't feel 'that' different. Riding is riding... if you feel a little uncomfortable just ride along with the traffic like a car rather than trying to filter through.
Things will feel a bit strange but as long as you are careful with the throttle there should be no problems other then ones of unfamiliarity with the new wheels!
It won't be worse than the first time riding on the road after doing your CBT! ____________________ Love is 1050cc |

I did a long unfamiliar journey home in the pissing rain when I bought a CB450DX(33BHP) on eBay having never ridden bigger than a 125 before.
It was exhilarating to say the least, but I found it fine and took only a few minutes to get used to the bike.
As long as you give yourself plenty of time and go steady you should be fine |

I have a rs125, and after jumping on a hornet s, it wasn't that bad. The poke was there and I got to 60 in about half the time on the roads, but I wasn't really scared or feel like it was something you gotta be scared to rev.
Definitely ride it yourself if you are someone who takes each step at a time. ____________________ Hit the G spot. |

Do it. You'll be fine, it will feel so sturdy after the 125.
I went from a 125 to a CBR 900 and picked it up from Southampton and rode it back to Croydon via the M3.
Shoreditch to Sutton is no biggy - just dont filter, sit in the traffic. Thats what I did until I felt more at ease.
Enjoy the bike - just in time for Spring.........maybe...........soon'ish? ____________________ My mum smells your fingers |

I'd say ride it. It's not going to be that bad.
I rode my new bike from Newcastle to Lewisham (SE London) in one day! going from an SV to an enduro bike is a bit of a culture shock! ____________________ Like a Yorkie - I'm not for the girls |

Don't sweat it - just pootle along and you'll be fine. Remember the engine has a lot more torque than your 125 so you don't have to rev it. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I picked my 'busa up in the rain. Guy said 'Take it easy - it spins up even in the dry. It's got more power than you'll ever need'
I wonder what he'd think if he saw it now ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Nope sorry to disappont you. I'm alive and well, what a good trip, so pleased I went, got some sidi streetburners for 100 and the bike is lovely. First I was shitting it, sitting in traffic like a right lemon but 10 minitues in after being cut up by a cock. I was filtering like I should be. Down the a3 and home, just about to go out again. |
