I recently sold the following on ebay, only now is the beginning of my problems with the buyer Evil or Very Mad

Item sold: https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4188993433

It all started off fine, with me thinking it was an easy and quick sale of the goods, but when I was out last night i got a few emails off paypal saying that the transaction of money had been cancelled; then another email saying that paypal and ebay are investigating the transaction as they believe the guy that has bought the goods, has paid for it with fraudulent funds.

But as he won the auction on sunday, I agreed to send the parcel by next day special delivery; yesterday. So the parcel may have already been delivered, if not, royal mail had guaranteed delivery before 12 noon. I've emailed paypal back with all of the details on the transaction for the auction, and tried to get in touch with Royal Mail, to see if they could either hold the package, or possibly return it to me, but they said they couldn't anything apart from deliver the parcel to it's determined address Evil or Very Mad

The guy is /supposedly/ called Abbas Hussain, living at 1 Elm Lane or something, with a post code of W53XA but can't remember the rest but i'll edit the post later on when I get the address from home. I was wondering if anyone down in London, knew or lived near the address?

But any help would be much appreciated on this.

Mike

Lets see, on Sunday how about a run to the Ace Cafe and then a little trip down the road to W5. See how Mister Hussein likes a bunch of scary bikers turning up on his doorstep. Twisted Evil

I'm sure that if you pay / get paid via Paypal then you are covered for such things.

Still go round and harrass him though!

I've had run ins with people via paypal before, but I was the buyer, so not too sure about what rights the seller has.

They may try and come up with some crap about not releasing goods to the customer until payment is received.

Retribution for his actions must however be swift. I suggest BCF descend upon Ealing now! Unite! Twisted Evil

Right, well it seems I could safely say that i've lost the phone and the money, i've done a little bit of research on the email address I got off this Abbas Hussain, and it's linked back from an email account at a website. For certain reasons, i'm not goin to reveal any details on the site, due to Google being more or less directly linked to us, and them.

The thing that takes the piss is the fact that if you read through the website, the webmaster says he's 15 Confused But the site also has a link through to a forum that they have, and that they're all from the same school. Let's just hope, they're cocky enough to post something funny about frauding me out of my phone goods.

If its fraudulent, you could get Plod involved. Not that they'd do much, they're far too busy dishing out points!

See if you can locate a phone number for the premises - thru 192.com or something similar, and tell his parents! Laughing

I'm sure I could think of something suitably vengeful...

Was the phone ever on a network with a contract in your name? And did you make a note of the IEMI numbers?

If so, report it stolen, it'll be dead within hours! Revenge CAN be sweet! Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I've just done that and noted that I ride past 1 Elm Avenue (almost) every night. It's just off the North Circular Road .

I've also done a 192.com search on the address - no-one of that name directly however,

Interesting - I suggest you call the old bill. Tell them whats happened and through your computer investigative work may have found an Al Quaeda terrorist cell. Tell them about the website you mentioned - tell them you have seen coded messages or something.

Also get the phone disabled - phone your old network and they will sort it. As long as you have the old number they can look back at the records and get the IMEI number.

On the way home tonight I'll check out the house - if there's a parcel outside from Manchester I'll grab it!

Best

'lamp,

that's just sheer class mate! Don't suppose you could pose as a courier, deliver a fake parcel, labels on the out side saying "Caution Explosive Materials" and fill it with talcum powder or flour? Laughing Twisted Evil

I could do much worse......

tomorrow I'll bring the digital camera with me - so if you decide to go down there you ride up without having to look for the house - that will scare the inhabitants. I'll post the picture. The problem with Saturday is that there is a certain football match on! So how many would come from Manchester??

You could put the URL up without having Google picking it by fragmenting it or something ie w w w . bi kecha tf orums .com

I might be up for a BCF lynching at the w/e.

This reminds me of a very long thread on an American bike forum that I found, where the guy had been ripped off by another forum member and they started a long and amusing campaign to get him his money back. I'll see if I can find it. Smile
