?2500 to ?3000 which 600?

I am selling my NC29 soon so will have about £2.5K to £3K to spend on a 600, my preferences are either an 03 636 B1h or an R6 !! what are peoples thoughts, opinions ? Very Happy

£2.5k will see you a tidy R6 up to around 2003.
If you stretch to £3k you will get an 04 R6 if you hunt for one.

I beleive the 04> R6's had a better gear box than the earlier ones. The R6 Luke's R6 is on 52 plate, But has an almost new 2004 Box fitted. Smile

It's all about finding a lucky sale thought. I picked up a TIDY NC30 last year. 50k on the clock (Yes high mileage), But the bike was totally standard on an M Plate, so one of the newer NC30's. It was also near on immaculate with a full history. And I picked it up for £600.

I'd vouch for an 04-05 R6. Nicely put together, realiable, good road bike but retaining some of the head banger lunacy of its predessor, nice under seat storage, practical, pretty comfy over distance, good tank range, a good amount of midrange that really takes off post 9k. Can't go wrong really.

Was the most 'together' bike I could find out of all the Jap bikes (K4 Gsxr came a very close second though), better road bike than the first CBR-RRs but with a bit more pazzaz than a CBR-F.

Seconded on the R6, i've only ridden a handful of other 600's
but at least for looks the earlier R6's look sexier than the later ones which just look plasticy and naff imo.

If you could stretch to an 05 CBR600RR, they are amazing bikes.

Otherwise, 03 R6's are top bikes. But the B1H just looks the tits.

Then again I'm not a particularly huge fan of the pre 06 R6's. They've always been a little 'meh' to me.
