Both great bikes. The R6 is more of a sports bike IMO but it doesn't mean that it's better. It's just more focused and more in a sports bike position. I'd pick an R6 every time (I've ridden every model R6 too), they're superb bikes.
I'd only get a ZX-6R after 2003... So the B1H, C1H and on-wards. I hated the previous shape and the R6 was easily the nicest looking bike until 03 IMO, and even then it was still arguably the nicest still (also IMO).
But yeah, R6 all day long! |
cool what year of R6 could I get with my budget ? ____________________ https://www.bikepics.com/members/blownygti/90cbr400/Default.asp |

£2.5k will see you a tidy R6 up to around 2003.
If you stretch to £3k you will get an 04 R6 if you hunt for one.
I beleive the 04> R6's had a better gear box than the earlier ones. The R6 Luke's R6 is on 52 plate, But has an almost new 2004 Box fitted.
It's all about finding a lucky sale thought. I picked up a TIDY NC30 last year. 50k on the clock (Yes high mileage), But the bike was totally standard on an M Plate, so one of the newer NC30's. It was also near on immaculate with a full history. And I picked it up for £600.

Join the B1h club.
Then again I'm not a particularly huge fan of the pre 06 R6's. They've always been a little 'meh' to me. ____________________ My Flickr |
