Get a cheapo chinese one off ebay for £20. It does the job but should only be used as a backup to a good chain.

If you can only choose one go for a chain.

yeh i got a chain and this other wheel lock but i live in an area that if they see a moped or any form of 2 wheeled object there gunna try it and as I cant sit up with a bat all night and watch out I need EXTRA security.

A big chain will put off the joy riders and opportunists, which are the people you have to worry about with a ped.

I doubt the hardcore bike thieves would be interested in a ped.

I cheap shit alarm will just go wrong at some point so IMO it isn't worth the hassle, just buy an extra disk lock.

You could fit a Cyclone C11 or similar and just not wire up the immobiliser circuit. That way you get the alarm function without any possibility of it screwing up at the wrong time and leaving you stranded.

You can't beat a good chain or lock though and if it's overnight a ground anchor.
