hi all

i put a post out recently about my h100 not starting. i thought i had found the problem however i still wouldn't start. it seems to be that it will only start with the engine cover removed!. the only thing ive done to the engine cover itself is to replace the cork gasket with a silicone type one.
does anyone know why this is? Confused Confused

Hi

Not sure that should make any difference. On the H100 there is nothing on the cover really (all the ignition is under the flywheel, from memory)

Does it spark with the cover on and off?

All the best

Keith

Your new gasket is probably thinner than the old one and something is shorting against the cover. Try reffiting the old gasget

Or it might be trapping a wire under the cover. The white on black one is the only one it could be.
