hi,

My bike has gone nuts, it just wont start, it cut out and thought ok maby i ran out of pertol pushed it to the petrol startion filled up, still no start. got it home on a trailor. the HISS light keeps going on and off randomly, checked all the connections no water in connectors, non were loose. we dont even have to touch the bike and it will go mad, sometimes not coming on at all sometimes coming on for a sec the off, the flash back on and off then stay on again.

Anyone got any ideas??

that might be the problem, the hiss system, maybe its faulty.

although i have very little xp with these systems!

not tried taking it to a honda garage and even having them to have a look at the immobiliser for you? i do however know that the immobiliser systems are expensive to replace as it requires new coded keys etc.

maybe worth even ringing a honda dealer up and talking to an engineer about it?

sorry i cant help more, ill have a root around the net see if i can find anything more out for ya.

regards,

Danzio

If you can get it to Southampton, I'll happily have a look for you, have you checked the HISS with the spare key? Just to make sure that they key transponder isn't playing up.

Hope for your sake it isn't the HISS, they cost a fortune to replace, I might be able to bypass it but it would require the wiring diagram and a lot of patience.

Cheers

I have tried the other key still no luck, and bypassing it would be difficult too, it has a datatool veto evo alarm on it.

Thankyou for the offer tho, i may take you up on it lol
i hope its not the HISS system too, looks like i now know what im spending my work bonus on Sad

I Found the problem!!!!! i think/hope after spending sometime with a multimeter and my dads help. we found the ECu was only getting 1Vish so not enough to power the HISS sysem, so traced it back a little, bypassed a small section, voiola!!! she starts first push of a button, so tomorrow i will be opening the wiringloom and replacing the cable that i think has snapped/ rotted away.

Thanks all for your help, karma cookies given Smile

Good to hear that you've likely fixed it.

For future reference, I've got a key coding tool for your bike, and a Haynes manual. So if you ever need something checking / pages scanning just let me know Wink

What's this i hear about meeting a thorn bush? Neutral
