I've been looking around for black biking jeans. Are there any shops in Manchester that have a good selection?

Looking on the www, as well as the Hood and Draggin, I found these:

Does anybody have any experience of them?

I've got a pair of Hood Concept 6. Well made, not bad price and survived a 30mph off. Only gripe would be to make sure you pick the right size. Mine are quite baggy, while I prefer slimmer fitting jeans.

If your short the knee protection can sit quite low over your shins.

Not very impressed by Draggin cargo pants - the pockets ripped from daily use.

The second time I tested my Hood's, which was at slow speed, they got a hole in them (only the top layer, the stuff underneath did it's job.)
Was a bit disappointed, but it also ground a way a big chunk of armoured race engine cover, so guessing the road surface was quite abrasive there.
Hood jeans will do 'made to measure' if you give them different sizes for no extra cost, I believe.

Has anyhone seen armoured pants that could work as relatively smart office wear?

The old-style (H2) black Hood ones look appropriately smart. Probably too smart for my office, where I wear them most days.
