Yeah its crazy, but paying compensation for the fuck up, might make them less likely to fuck up in future.

People make mistakes, but systems should be in place to stop mistakes having bad outcomes. Checking, or whatever.

It was his choice to go for compensation though and therefore is taking money out of the NHS, he says he didn't want the money so it's a selfish act, if that's genuine he should donate it to to charity.

He tried to kill himself so how can he complain, he apparently tried it again 3 years later, reckons he's not attention seeking though, well 2 failed suicide attempts is attention seeking, if you really intend to do it properly you do it properly Rolling Eyes waste of space.

What a load of shite, you can cock up when trying to top yourself the same way you can cock up at anything else.

I have a scar on my wrist from having a go years ago, I fully intended to take my life with the first slash, good job I never got an artery or whatever is there to get because as soon as it happened I thought..................... PRICK! What did you do that for?

Anyway, its a good job I did cock it up. (for me at least)

Edit

Suing is shit though, its us that paid for it and if he hadn't tried to kill himself it wouldn't have happened, so f*ck him. I just don't agree with the comment I quoted.

My point stands, you didn't actually want to do it which is why you chose to slit your wrist the way you did, it's got a very varied chance of success and is a drawn out way to kill yourself as you know that there's gonna be quite a lot of time while blood is pissing out to change your mind.

If you genuinely intend to kill yourself you do something that's unlikely to have an outcome other than death such as dropping a livewire into the bathtub, shoot yourself in the head, riding into a brickwall at 150mph on a bike, attending a labour party conference etc etc...
